Fleece comes in different weights: 100, 200, and 300. This is 200 wt and should work fine.

I like this fleece hoodie. It looks flattering on. I like the design embedded on one of the sleeves. There are three things I wish were diffferent. I wish the material had more stretch to it. Also, I wish the opening around the hood wasn't so wide. I haven't actually used it for the trip I bought it for yet, but I notice when you put the hood on, there is a big gap for cold air to get in. Also, I wish it had a pocket somewhere. I think this was designed more for style than functionality, and I got suckered into that. So I kept it. I will see how it functions on my hiking trip. Its pretty expensive too.
