The Cloudveil RPK Men's Ski Parka features Gore-Tex Soft Shell technology to provide you with unsurpassed waterproofing and breathability as you ride the park, bumps, powder, steeps, or whatever is good that day. Strategically placed insulation adds warmth where you most need it, such as your lower back. A powder skirt prevents waist-deep powder from sneaking under your jacket and features a pant-to-jacket snap connection system, so you can create a full-coverage system. On warmer days where groomers or park riding is your main agenda, open the Cloudveil RPK's Underarm zips to cool off.

Bottom Line: Ride in any snow conditions, and stay dry and warm in the Cloudveil RPK Ski Jacket.

Perfect Ski Jacket

By:
March 23, 2009

Just bought this jacket last week in Co. The weather was 60 degrees on the mountain and the snow was slushy. The pit zips were well used on the trip. on the cold mornings though, it held my warmth. Over all a great piece of gear!!! Cant wait to use it next season.

Could have been a last years model. I hear ya on the great buy on ebay. The only scary thing is the condition and return policy there. Check out Cloudveil's website to see if there are other color options. If there are jump on "live chat" and ask those folks. They can look up if they've got any more on order and if they do, they can usually give you a rough shipment date.Hope that helps.

No complaintss here

Skied in this shell over 200 days and dont have a single complaint- The shell alone is great on warm days and one fleece layer is all it takes on the cold days- The jacket breathes on hikes and the pit zips are plenty big- I thought the jacket was a little heavy at first with a cardboard feel to the material but it hasnt been an issue...actually grew to like it just as much as my soft softshell- 5'10" 155 and I got a large- A medium would probably have been fine with no layers but a large seems to fit me perfectly with a layer underneath-
One thing about the cuff of the hood- On big days the area right under my chin gets raw from ice crusting up on this little fleece part where the zippers come together- If snows hitting my chin though its not that big of a deal-

Anyone have any issues/comments on the collar? Tried on my standard

Anyone have any issues/comments on the collar? Tried on my standard size and the top of the collar rested under my chin rather then wrapping around it. Cant tell if this would go away after "break in" or whether its just a fit issue particular to me. 6 foot 175lb. Thanks

I had the same problem. I ended up switching to a different jacket because it irritated my neck so badly. Even a bigger size rubbed my neck. I think it's a fit issue personally.

Great Jacket

Have had this jacket for two seasons now and I can't complain. The gore-tex keeps you super dry. Plenty of pockets inside and out, and the zippers really are watertight. Powder skirt works good too. The only downside I have had is the hood is pretty snug with a helmet, but I have only used the hood once in really bad weather, otherwise the helmet keep you plenty warm, not a big deal.

Can someone let me know what the difference is between the PRK

Can someone let me know what the difference is between the PRK and the Koven Plus? Is one: softer? warmer? lighter? stretchier?

The rpk is heavier and a bit warmer. for the resort I would recommend the rpk but for touring the Koven is awesome. It is just a super nice waterproof and lightweight shell. i am in Japan and thats what I brought.
