As the name implies, the Cloudveil Men's Dyno Short is dialed for climbing, with a chalk bag loop and built-in stretch. Should you think that too narrowly focused for your needs, we can testify that it suits a variety of alternate activities as well. From the heart-stopping leap of faith in your favorite bouldering problem, the Dyno Short can move seamlessly to a multi-day hike or, when pressured, a smart casual summer cocktail party. The tough synthetic twill fabric is simultaneously light in weight, and subtle cargo pockets store small essentials without appearing overly tech or inappropriately adolescent.
Bottom Line: Cloudveil named the Dyno Short a bit too hastily—thankfully, we caught the error.

I was able to pick up these shorts for 50% off and I must say I have to disagree with some reviewers; I love these shorts. The fit is great, they stand up very well to abrasion, and they are very versatile and look nice whether you're out sending your project or headed to play golf. Granted they are fairly expensive at retail price and I wouldn't pay that much for them because I'm not made of money, I don't know what more you could expect from a pair of shorts? The chalk bag loop on the back was very considerate. Thank you Cloudveil <3

Not too comfortable for old guys

I'm a 50 yr. old guy with a size 34 waist. I have been wearing them around for about a month, climbing in the Gunks and North Conway. The Dyno is a nice pair of sport shorts, but falls short in the fit for me. I have had more comfortable climbing shorts in the past.
Change me.
