Down Patrol Jacket - Women's

The Cloudveil Women's Down Patrol Jacket turns those painfully cold mountain mornings into first tracks amidst fireplace warmth. Water-resistant Gore Windstopper shell fabric blocks frosty flakes and icy gusts, and the 650-fill down insulation guarantees you won’t be shivering at the top of the lift. The Down Patrol’s hood fits over your helmet, and the mesh-lined underarm zips let cool air in when the noonday sun beats down. Cloudveil included a powder skirt to stop frozen fluff from finding its way into your britches, and you can remove the skirt when you want to sport this cute quilted puffy around town. Pockets galore mean you won’t have to leave your snacks or iPod in the car.

Bottom Line: A curve hugging puffy for carving cold smoke.

I would say it is has more purple to it than the picture shows, but I wouldn't way it's fuschia (or purple). It's darker than the picture makes it out to be. I would probably call it cranberry, if that helps at all. I'm not totally crazy about the color. I wish they had the bright blue, but... It's such an awesome jacket I'm willing to deal with it.

upgrade!

By:
October 13, 2009

Had an 05 DP jacket that i loved that sadly disappeared at a bar last year. So i just ordered this to replace it, and am psyched as think it's an upgrade!
Same great Windstopper fabric that makes it so much warmer than a regular down jacket. Made me so happy on minus 10 days and when the wind's howling - plus it has never wet out on me, even when dumping. I washed it a bunch of times (only in a front-loader!) and it performed just as great.
So why i like the new design is it's longer in the body, so now the back drops and covers my backside and will give extra warmth. Plus the internal pocketing will securely hold my goggles, cell and ipod, and then some. Also they seem to have played with the fit so it's got great feminine shape despite being a puffy. All this snow and I'll be wearing this at A-Basin sooner vs later!!
