Don’t take a crap on Mother Nature.

You’re serious about leaving no trace behind when you car and canoe camp, or perhaps you’re just not particularly stoked about crouching and losing your balance while taking a crap in the great outdoors. We’re pleased to present the Cleanwaste Portable Toilet. This plastic toilet unfolds from a briefcase-sized block into the same height and bowl dimensions as a standard toilet. A removable mesh holder supports the waste-collection bag, and the biodegradable bag uses eco-friendly powder to turn liquid waste into an odorless solid. The lid protects the seat during the night and removes for stability under the legs when you set up on soft ground. * Includes one waste-bag kit.

Pooping in the woods - infinitely easier

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The lid doesn't stay on - it's really just for carrying. Otherwise it falls right off.

With only one leg in the front, it's a little tippy, but you can get used to it.

Instead of the fancy toilet tent I decided to rig my own using a circular clothes dryer hangy-thing and a shower curtain from the dollar store. Hang it from a tree and you have a simple shelter for a couple bucks.

portable poo paradise

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Whether you in Moab on onion creek rd, lake powell, or a forest rd. This portable toilet will make things a little more comfortable. Scared of public restrooms, this is a solution. Incredibly strong, I have used as a step stool, although I do not recommend. about the size of a large briefcase. If you have kids and need a toilet accessible during your camping outing try this guy out. Three campground fees and it's paid for.

I am taking a group of teen girls on a Missions trip to Montenegro in a month. Just found out our accommodations have changed to a facility with squat/hole toilets rather than what we are used to. Minus the bag - think this would work over the hole? If I dont come up with something there is going to be a lot of drama.

You have my sympathies, but a bunch of prissy teenaged girls don't. They really need to toughen up and get over it. When they need to go badly enough, or get a bout of dysentery, even squatting in the bushes will look good. But, if it's a situation where it's a community toilet, it's not going to be a "cat-hole", it's going to be a pit toilet/outhouse, and I would bet that there's some sort of at least improvised toilet seat that could pass as acceptable. This would would be a good choice over a smaller hole that is no bigger than what one person would need, but it's probably too small to straddle a bigger pit or a trench (latrine) that's being used for everyone, and they would end up in the hole rather than above it. I would find out exactly what the details are on the facilities and go from there. This might be the best solution, or maybe it's not as bad as it sounds initially. You might even be able to buy just a toilet seat instead. But any way, knowing girls that age all too well myself, you definitely want to bring extra toilet paper and a couple boxes of those tissue butt gaskets for the seat. I don't envy you at all, but I do hope this helps. Good luck!!

ahahaha! It's one of those things that are in all the best public bathrooms that you have to punch out the perforations on to use to cover the toilet seat. All the women in my life make it a point to tell me when there aren't any for some reason, and even though there's a perfectly good seat, they end up squatting and hovering anyhow. I therefore surmise that it's as integral to sitting on the toilet for them as the seat itself. Ask the wife. She might not know it by its slang term, but I guarantee that you'll know more about it than you ever wanted to know by the end of that conversation.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I do think by the end of the week they will be pros - LOL - or very, very constipated. I am packing a Sam's club pack of TP and diaper wipes. I think we may just give this a try in case it will help. There will be drama regardless but this may just help a bit. Thanks!

Is this available with legs that raise it to the height of a handicapped toilet?

Responded on

It doesn't appear to be available in a compliant form. Try Drive Medical Solutions for their version of a folding toilet. It's not quite so specialized for the outdoors or contained environmentally, but it is the right height, lightweight, and it folds down to a relatively compact size.

can i keep a squirrel in this?

can i keep a squirrel in this?

Responded on

I would probably let the squirrel run free in the wild and not keep him in a place where you go to the bathroom.

Would you want to be kept in a portable toilet?

Responded on

That would inevitably come back and bite you in the ass.
