Description

Seize Tobruk; end oil dependence.

Some mornings, laces are just too damn hard. The Chrome Tobruk Shoe makes the haze a little easier to get through, thanks to an effortless slip-on style and a low-profile design that's easy to stuff into toe cages.

  • Vulcanized rubber sole provides great grip and protection from debris
  • Fiberglass-reinforced-nylon shank adds rigidity to the midsole for better pedaling performance
  • Polyurethane insole cushions your feet
  • Cordura construction is tough enough for daily abuse
  • Board-lasted sole eliminates pedal hot spots

White Tobruk - Ok shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These shoes are ok. The glue came undone on the inner side of the right shoe from pedal abrasion. Emailed Backcountry and never heard anything back, so I just the rubber flap off- since I paid very little for them anyway. I quit using them for riding shoes and just use them as throw ons with jeans. Yeah, the fit is off...I wear a 11 in shoes and I ordered these in a 10.5, and they fit great.

I honestly didn't feel like these were any better or worse than a pair of, say, Vans. They are just slip on shoes.

They come in a very good locking box and with some stickers...that's a plus!

Trust me and go half size down

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Reading the reviews and they were spot on. Ordered 11's instead of my usual 11.5, they were still a bit of wiggle room up front. I may of been able to get away with 10.5. Look good plan on being extra lazy while wearing them.

Trust me and go half size down
Responded on

This was good advice. Depending on the shoe I seem to be a 10.5 or a 11. Went with the 10.5 and they seem to be fitting OK. You may wish to go with the 1/2 size smaller option first when ordering this shoe.

Chrome Tobruk - White

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Normally a 10.5 in other brands and from my experience Chrome runs about 0.5 large. So, the 10's fit me well. I Like the narrow footprint and shoe doesn't feel wide which suits my B/C foot width. White will get dirty, but they clean up with soap and a brush. Great for the beach and beach cruisers. Have my eye on the gray pair, but already own too many Chrome shoes. They are hard to wear out.

- good breathability, I use them for cycling.
Usually I'm size 10.5, I order this, and had to return them for a smaller size (10)
