Description

Give yourself a hand.

Mother Nature doesn't much care that you've stashed your laptop, lunch, and copy of Lolita inside your pack--she wants to rain, damn it, so she's gonna rain. The best you can do is stash your weather-sensitive gear inside the Chrome Bravo Laptop Backpack and let the waterproof 1000D Cordura do its best to keep your gear snug and dry. In case Cordura isn't enough, Chrome lined the Bravo with 1800D truck tarpaulin for extra waterproofing and durability, so you could practically drag it behind you or take it for a swim with no ill effects. The laptop sleeve secures computers up to 15in, and the large back pocket is a perfect place to stash a rain shell or extra layer. Chrome also designed the Bravo to expand to accommodate 40L—just loosen the compression straps—and tossed in a padded back panel, sternum strap, and a classic Chrome seatbelt-style quick-release buckle so everyone can tell at a glance that you take your commuting seriously.

Great bag, but not for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This is overall a very sturdy bag. It's well made and it feels like it would be comfortable to carry heavy things in for long distances. That said, it does have a few problems. All of the pouches open with loud Velcro. It might get quieter with use, but it's a bit much for me. I need something more discrete. The top flap is also held in place with Velcro. While I doubt this would be an issue for someone with short hair, it kept catching and tugging on my braid. Finally, the sternum strap is badly placed if you have any substantial bust. It seems like it would help support the bag nicely on anyone with a flat chest, but it ended up awkwardly squishing me.
Again, overall I think this seems like a great bag and a good buy for anyone who doesn't mind the issues listed above.

Too much velcro for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I've been trying to look for more packs with less velcro (they stick to and ruin my clothing, it's a hassle to pull it apart (not quick access for my ability), and hard on my psoriatic arthritic hands). The bag looks indestructible. Excellent interior, closure on top to keep the elements out and I love(d) the buckles - smooth. Nice shape, and the straps were perfect - have that "extra' part of the upper straps that not all packs have for the shoulders and then they have a clip for across your chest. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind velcro.

Durable Bag, looks good.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like the small features of this bag perfectly well but all in all I like the simplicity of the bag. It's durable and black and works great. Laptop is totally safe in there and that's awesome for me.

Sold with style

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got this bag for bike commuting and to use as my daily bag for work. Great bag. The expandable option has come in pretty clutch on more than a few occasions. No issues with riding in the rain, done it too many times, the bag is waterproof (or weather proof as Chrome defines it). My only beef with it if any is depending you much I have the roll top extended, the bag sometimes hits my helmet. Love it anyway. It's the only bag I've had where someone has commented on it, more than once too. Now I'm looking a their other bags...

Smaller than I thought

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The bag was seemed bigger than I expected (in terms of looks) but the space inside was smaller than it looked. Pretty cool. Hugs the body well

Love this bag

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was looking for a bag that was waterproof, comfortable, can expand to relatively high-capacity and a bit more organized than a cavernous dry bag. This thing delivered! The construction is bomb-proof and the bag does a good job of holding my laptop in the outer sleeve. The downsides are relatively minor: the bag itself is definitely on the heavy side but in my opinion the comfort makes up for that, the laptop pocket padding could definitely be beefier, and there's no dedicated loop to clip on a blinkey (the cross straps do an ok job).
