Chariot Carriers Inc Baby Bivy - 2007 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
The Chariot Baby Bivy lets your little one fall asleep, and stay asleep, when out for a stroll. Often you will take your baby for a walk in order to make fall asleep. Now you don't have to disturb their slumber when coming to a stop. Fasten the Baby Bivy to the Chariot Carrier seat harness, put your baby (up to 18 lbs) in the soft and cozy sleeping bag and get strolling. When done walking, unclick the harness and it is already out of the way. The Baby Bivy is made for walking and strolling only. *Only Available for Shipment to Lower 48 States.
Bottom Line: Your baby would thank you, if it could talk.

Good idea, poor execution

I like the idea of the Baby Bivy way better than the actual product. The idea is pretty simple - a little papoose that easily and securely attaches to a Chariot stroller to you can load your infant up, clip them into the Chariot, go for a stroll/ride/ski, then lift them out without waking them up.The reality is that the "five minute" installation took over an hour and the parts they supplied didn't work with the dual Chariot. I ended up scrapping the supplied hardware and rigging up my own system. Not only that, but the Baby Bivy is quite big, so it crowds out the other passenger. As supplied, the hardware holds the Baby Bivy at a weird angle with the kid's feet higher than their head, which the instructions say to fix with a blanket. For $66, I think it should be perfect. Also, the assembly instructions and photos are horrible. But, if you can get over all of this, it holds the baby well, is easy to carry in the "purse" mode and has plenty of soft lining so the kids seem be comfortable in it.

The instructions say the install should take five minutes. However, I got hung up on one thing. The "D-ring" ships with a bolt and nut. I thought that you needed to use that bolt and nut to attach the D-ring to the frame. However, you simply use the existing phillips head screw. You remove it from the frame, thread it through the D-ring with the curved side facing the frame (for best fit) and screw it on. I tried the other option first and it was no worky.

Like a Burrito
This thing is great, we had our little boy in it at 4 weeks old and he loved it. It is a little roomy right now, but it will be perfect when it gets cold. more...
