Description

Yampa. It's just fun to say.

Coveted by river guides, outdoor professionals, and die-hards alike, the Chaco Women's ZX/2 Yampa Sandal rocks a rugged, simple, and supportive build. A tough-as-nails Vibram sole protects your foot from the elements, and the Yampa-style sole has a water-specific tread for steadfast track in wet environments. Slide your foot into the strappy upper and revel in the aggressively supportive footbed that cradles your foot through adventure after adventure.
  • Adjust'em uppers use a single strap, threaded through the footbed, to offer a durable and customizable fit
  • AddStride footbed is gender-specific, uses a sculpted heel cup to keep your foot from sliding, and offers aggressive arch support to control pronation
  • Lightweight Yampa sole uses medium-sized lugs and water drainage channels to offer supreme traction in the water or on wet surfaces
  • Vibram soles are resoleable if you wear your Chaco's down to a nub traveling, boating, and generally raising the gnar bar

The only issue is that that strap you use to tighten the sandal is a bit long if you have a slender foot.

Great!

The only reason I didn't give these a 5 star rating is because they're not necessarily the kind of shoe you can wear with anything. BUT they're comfortable, stylish and are of a very good quality. Plus, this website offers them 25% off...can't beat that!

If you have never owned a pair of Chaco's don't worry about how "hard" it is to adjust the shoes. It's not hard, it just takes patience. If you want them to be comfy right out of the box, it isn't going to happen. You have to adjust the straps to your foot, which can take about an hour or so of wearing them. But it's not "difficult" or "hard."

I love them!

Does the Yampa have as good of support as the others?

Yes. It's just the lower-profile, lighter-weight outsole, and vegan construction that sets it apart. Some folks like them better than the Unaweep because it's quite a bit lighter.

These are great as far as being a sandal with a vibram sole, and I like this new Yampa style sole over the traditional options. The double strap is always a nice touch, and seems like it helps to customize the fit better than one wide strap, and the green colors are especially awesome. They take some time to figure out the best strap adjustment, but I am also convinced I need the wide version, which does not seem to be available (or wasn't at the time I bought these).

So I would caution anyone with wide feet to seek out the wide version, otherwise, if you're a Chaco fan, you're bound to enjoy these.

this new lighter and thinner outsole on the Zx2 is amazing! it is still just as durable and sticky as the old outsole, but much more feminine and sleek looking! not to mention, the webbing colors are sick. :)
