Try on first if high instep

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

No doubt a quality flip and the sole is awesome and true to size. However, the toe strap seems to be shorter than other flips I own, and they end up being uncomfortable is worn for long periods. I have a moderately high instep and find the strap cramps my style, so to speak. YMMV.

Chaco flops are simply the best

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

There is nothing worse than having a pair of flip flops fall apart on your when you're in a remote location. This happened to me while I was in Central America in a remote location. This left me walking barefoot for 3 weeks while I was there. The solution I found was to purchase a pair of Chaco flops. You'd be hard pressed to ruin a pair of these even in the toughest environment.

After owning Chaco flops for several years I now recommend them to everyone. Not only are they some of the most comfortable flops you can purchase, they also last forever. These provide excellent grip in wet or dry conditions, and unlike slick wet leather you'll still find plenty of grip from the footbed on these even when they are wet.

Bottom line: Buy these and don't look back. Nothing else compares as far as quality and functionality.

    Hike mountains in these

Great sole and arch support. I hike in them all the time and the sole doesn't slip when wet. Webbing is very durable as well.

    Better than the Rest

I've had a few other pairs of sandals but they all wore out pretty quickly and I noticed that certain parts of each sandal compressed differently affecting the way I walked. Not cool. So I decided it was time to get a pair of Chaco Flip Flops.

    Comfort:

I wear them all day in the office and my feet don't hate me. I've done shortish hikes in them and not had issues. The contour on the foot bed is great.

    Sizing:

I have a size 10 foot and got a size 10 Chaco. Fits true to size and is great.

    Color:

I have the color "Badge" the color options for this sandal in my opinion are rather bland. But what ever. They go fairly well with most of the pants / shorts I wear.

    Durability

From short approaches and hikes to hanging out at work all day long, these have held up super well to everything I've put at them.

    Traction:

The out sole material and pattern on these is great. When I head out to climb and have a shortish approach I'll wear these. I hate shoes but need something that won't slip a ton. Not the smartest idea on my part but hey, they work pretty well.

    Water:

Normally with other flip flops/sandals when I step in a river/stream the top of the flip flop gets all slick and I struggle to maintain traction between my foot and the top of the flip flop. The slip factor is much less with these because of the material and pattern on top of the foot bed.

    where have I been

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 12

I've tried most flip-flop brands. Lately I've needed more support, if I'm going to wear flip flops 6 months a year, I need support and comfort. These are the bomb. Similar to the Z** sandal these have great arch support, amazing grip, and look good. I highly recommend spending $$ on a good pair. So now I have the sandals to hike and these for everything else. I wear an 11 in all shoes, sandals, flips, etc... I got a 12 and they are spot on.

    Comfortable and dependable

I gave these as a gift recently and have feedback on them.

The worst thing that can happen while on a surf trip in a remote location is to have your sandals fail. Leaving you barefoot, walking through the rain forest trying to avoid every pointy plant that wants to draw your blood.

Well, you no longer have to worry about a failed strap, or soles that fall off after just a few weeks. These sandals are built to handle any environment you may encounter, from a rough/rocky beach to the sandy/rocky trails found in the desert southwest.

The soles on these sandals inspire confidence in even the slickest conditions. The tread is prevalent, and provides grip on any surface you might encounter. The lugs are deep, but not as deep as you would find on a Unaweep model. Sure, the deeper lugs are heavier than some other tread designs out there, but they won't leave you scrambling for grip.

These sandals offer lot of comfort too. Chaco does a great job designing the footbed so it offers maximum comfort all day long. The straps are durable, and you won't have to worry about them breaking when you least expect.

If you are looking for a killer flip flop that offers comfort, traction, and durability you need not look any further.
