After a long week you can’t even think about staring at a computer screen for another second. Slip the Chaco Women’s Z/2 Pro Unaweep Sandal on your weary dogs, load up the fam, and head into the mountains for the weekend. Chaco’s continuous pull-through straps and adjustable buckle strap ensure an ideal fit for any foot shape, and the BioCentric footbed gives your pups a comfortable ride for your day hike. The toe loop keeps your forefoot secure while you descend, and the Vibram Grip Outsole prevents you from slipping on rocky, wet, or uneven terrain.

Bottom Line: Get as far from the office as possible.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

you know if you've owned a pair

if you've owed, wore, and lived in this sandal-- you know... it's simply the best. some people don't like the "toe" strap- I love it. It's great for down-climbing --if you adjust it correctly it really shouldn't be a problem. I've lived in chaco's for the past several years. . . it's simple... they're durable unlike any other sandal. The only complaint --and again you probably know if you've lived in a pair too--they do start to smell a little bad after you've lived in them wet, dry, and in between for a summer on the river... but they hold up well. I'd recommend them to anyone... especially someone that spends a lot of time on the river?.... they're optimal

What kind of soles are these? On the Chaco website they have a choice of a Unaweep or a Pro sole. I am looking for the Pro Sole but the description you have for this shoe mentions Unaweep.

These are definitely the pro sole. If you compare the detail view of the sole of these Pro sandals to the same view of these Unaweeps (http://www.backcountry.com/chaco-z-2-unaweep-sandal-womens-cha0040?rr=t&cmp_id=&rrType=ClickCP&rrProd=CHA0040) you should be able to see the difference. You'll notice on this page's description where it says "sole type" it's called Vibram IdroGrip; on the other page it says Unaweep Vibram.

If it's not clear from the photos alone, the Pro sole seems more meaty and hefty, and the Unaweep is more of an all-around design. Look for the "studs" in the middle of the pro sole and the "fingers" on the toe of the Unaweep.

great sandals

I love my pair of chaco's and practically live in them. When you first get them, the straps (especially the toe strap) tend to tighten and are a little uncomfortable - just keep readjusting them until you get a little "gunk" in there, then they wont move. These sandals are great for shorter hikes, water sports, and just for everyday. Plus, the tan is SEXY!
