Love these.

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These are pretty versatile shoes. I have been wearing them to work and school quite a bit. I recently wore them on a 25 mile canyon trip with tons of swimming, rock hopping and general hiking. They weren't my first choice, but my primary pair of shoes for the trip were giving me blisters during the pre-hike break in period. I took these and the performed much better than I expected. I would take them on a water hike again. Water drains out easily and they held up really well. I'm very impressed.

Best summer casual work shoe ever.

I needed a shoe that would last 8 to 10 hours on my feet and not overheat. The canvas pedshed came through. I was referred to chacos by a friend. As I thought they were just sandals. Not so. I wore them all summer. They looked a little worn out by then but overall best work shoe I've ever had. I'll by another pair come summer. I go with Merrell in the winter months at work.

Another excellent Chaco

I bought these for warm weather when sandals aren't appropriate, or I want some additional coverage. The canvas does seem cooler than the two leather models I have (both are the similar "Campus" shoe, not the Pedshed).

This canvas is stiffer than the leather, so while the comfort is very good these haven't been promoted to "instant favorites" like the leather ones. I suspect the canvas will soften with increased wear. So far they've worn very well. I've only worn them with socks, but I suspect that as they continue to soften/conform, I'll give them a try barefoot.

They look very nice, IMHO. I have the "Bay Leaf" color, which is a very pale green with some grey. I've had a few people tell me they thought they were suede. I've twice worn them in lieu of dressier shoes without complaint.

These are my fifth pair of Chacos, and I'm quite pleased with all of them. All of them are very well made. If you have plantar fasciitis and/or fallen arches/flat feet, which I seem to have developed as I've gotten older, then give Chaco sandals or shoes a try! Ditto if your feet, knees, or hips ache after walking/hiking. And if you have no foot ailments at all, you should still try Chaco! ;-)

Chaco rocks... great for water too!

Been wearing these Chaco shoes a good bit... very comfortable! Love their sandals as well, strong even with a ton of water exposure... a rare thing.
