Huge fan of the regular Chaco flip so I was interested in trying something else from them. The extra straps of the hip thong seemed strange at first so I wore them loose to start with. After wearing them for a while I tightened the straps and found that they gave just enough extra security that they became my go to flip for being active in. Great comfort and extra security!

When I saw these sandals, I thought they would be the perfect balance between the look of thongs and the security of the Z2s. However the fit is odd. The position of the thong is set too far back. I had plenty of room at the front but my heels hung off the back. Adjusting the straps didn't change this. I haven't and this problem with any other flip flops or the Z2s. So unfortunately, I had to return them.

These are beefier than the regular Chaco flips, more akin to Z1 footbed than the flip footbed as far as thickness and protection from sharp rocks and such. Would've gotten 5 stars, but the extra criss-crossed straps aren't like the normal webbing - they stretch a bit, losing said stretch over time. Not super important as I like mine a bit loose so things don't get stuck underneath my feet, but a little different than I expected.

Definitely size a half size up. I wear an 11 almost across the board, with an exception of a 12 in Nike, and the arch of these was almost to the ball of my foot, and my heel hung off the back. however, very nice construction, and i could see these becoming very hard not to wear once broken in.

I picked up a pair of these for around $35 and after wearing them for about 2 weeks loved the some much I got a second pair. These stay on your feet in rivers and lakes unlike any other flip flop but are easier to get on and off than sandals with a backstrap. Like most high quality shoes they do have a break in period but for me that only lasted a few days. If see a good price on these grab them...you won't be sorry.

These are the most comfortable flips I've ever owned. They take a little getting used to, but really stay on your feet even in situations you would not normally use flips for ie creaking, etc. Also, they stay against your feet so there's no annoying flopping sound when you walk.

Bought these sandals off of steepandcheap.com for about 50% off. At that price, they are unbeatable. The additional straps ensure a snug and comfortable fit. Contrary to most flips, you don't have to exercise your toe muscles to keep them on your feet.

Pros: Fit, tan lines, comfort, versatility, durability
Cons: Break-in period, price

I agree on everything except for the break-in period, it was very short for me. However, I got the leather version, so maybe that makes a difference?
