I plan on using these boots as a the go to everyday boot in northern Vermont. I purchased the boots at the end of March, so not much winter as left but I have found the boots to be well fitting, comfortable and the tread handled one inch slush well. The opening is a little different so getting into the boots is not a one-handed operation... at least not yet.

All in all, I would recommend these boots

OK , after reading the reviews. I am a 9.5. what size would be best with wearing a mid weight sock? Also do these boots cause that annoying pull on our socks? Where after a short while your sock ends up being pulled off,or at least down to the arch?

I'm a true size 10.5, and upto 11 in some brands. I had to downsize to a 10 for these, with great success (wearing mid-weight hiking socks). So try going about 1/2 size down.
Socks seemed fine for me!

After my husband's heavy duty winter boots busted last year, he took his time reading reviews to find these. Cold temps, snow and mush should be no issue in these. They look nice and casual with jeans and not too terribly bulky like other cold weather boots. Fit true to size at 13 W.

My husband loves the boots. They fit great, are actually waterproof, and are very comfortable. We have a hobby farm (horses) and are being put to the test. I am sure they were meant for more "out and about" type activities, but here they are being used as a outdoor work boot. Would highly recommend them for either activity.

As others have mentioned, they are warm (too warm for use outside of winter/cold weather) and also run at least a 1/2 size big.
I think I'll throw in a wool foot bed too to avoid a bit of the sticky foot syndrome if wearing a light sock or no socks with the supplied bed liner...

Arch felt a bit high at first, like chaco sandals do somethimes, but it feels great now - good support.

Would buy these again on sale.

I like chaco products; particularly the sandals, the boot continues my satisfaction with chaco!

How thick is the wool liner? Are these boots blazing hot in the summer?

The wool liner is not really thick and will flatten some as you get a few miles on them. They are way too warm to wear in the summer heat.

Love these boots. So comfy. Nice cushion and interior footbeds. Very warm for our New England winters. Recommended. Wish they looked a little more like the Credence tall boots in terms of color and style but those have no waterproofing whatsoever which was a deal breaker for me. Sizing is accurate for me, I wear a 12 in virtually every shoe I've every worn and these are true to my size.

Really cool boot! Very durable, very comfy, however runs big, I am a true 9.5 size shoe and my heels were slipping out of the, 9.5 boot when I walked, returning them to get size 9.....

agreed. I just bought these in a 10 because that's what I wear in Chacos (I own a pair of the Z1's, PedShed's, and flip flops). My feet are swimming in these things, even with thick socks!! I'm not even going to bother with a 9.5; I'm going straight to a 9. That's how big these boots are
