Pull on the Chaco Women’s Canyonland Low eVent Hiking Shoe for rocky scrambles in the desert Southwest or soggy day hikes closer to home. The waterproof breathable eVent membrane keeps your feet dry whether you’re splashing through puddles or hoofing it through a torrential downpour. Chaco’s BioCentric footbed controls pronation and supports your stride, and Chaco treated it with the natural antimicrobial Agion to ward off foot funk. The water-resistant nubuck leather upper stays durable through hard miles on the trail, and it features a bamboo-derived Trek Dri lining to wick moisture and dry quickly.

Bottom Line: You love their sandals, you’ll love their shoes.

These are pretty good, but I think they are overpriced. I got my fiance the shamrock color and she ended up not wanting them. Great cs on the returns to backcountry though!

As comfy as their sandals

By:

My chaco sandals are by far the most comfortable flip flops I own. It was no surprise when I put these shoes on and they were the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever worn! I haven't tried these out in water or puddles yet, but so far they are so comfortable, it really doesn't matter.

They do not. It is just a standard fit. If any shoe is ever offered in wide, it is mentioned in the select options drop down menu.

Great shoes, not for winter.

These shoes fit really well right out of the box. I have dancer's feet, though- don't need toe room, do need a lot of arch support. I wore these shoes for three days straight when i first got them, because i was so in love with them.

They do something really strange in very cold inclement weather, it seems. The rubber of the soles becomes very hard, and walking on icy sidewalk patches is a horrible idea.

Other than that, they are great work shoes and great hike shoes. They're very supportive and sturdy, without being too heavy.

Too tight

By:
September 24, 2009

Sadly these shoes were too tight around the wide part of my feet. I love my Chaco sandals and these were my first attempt at closed shoes. They were way way too tight. Granted my feet are wide, but not absurdly wide.

Sent them back

By:
March 2, 2009

They look pretty. But as soon as I put them on I knew there was a problem. They were extremely tight, my toes were squished and uncomfortable (even with my narrow feet), and the arch support felt like it was in the wrong place. This made me think "Oh, I need a bigger size". But as soon as I started walking around in them my heels slid in and out of the back, chafing. Too small in front, too much room in back. This shoe fails.

disappointed

By:

First of all I LOVE the Chaco sandals. But when I opened the box and noticed these shoes were made in China I was way disapointed. The shoe does fit like a glove. True to size but the bottom is very firm. The arch support feels great not sure how someone with a flat foot would like it. I am not feeling a lot of cushion between my foot and the ground. So not sure how they would be on a long hike. I am on the fence as to whether I will send them back. The description is not what the shoes really are.
