    Do these really work?

    I didn't really notice a difference.

I am prone to cold feet and these kept me no warmer than my Darn Tough socks or Smart Wool varieties.

Other than being a pain to get on and off, they function fine as ski socks. It might work for you, I didn't notice a difference skiing on them all last season.

One thing I did like were the low profile seams. I had to retire other ski socks because the seam across the top of the toes was too prominent. That isn't an issue with these socks.

My advice: buy them on sale if you aren't 100% sure compression tech works for you or not.
