    CatEye Limit Bell

Simple yet effective. Lets everyone know you are coming, while not getting in the way on the handlebars with its compact design. Must have to keep those guys that insist every trail must be open to uphill traffic at bay.

I've put it through the RINGER

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great bell for the price. Matched my bike well, does not ring unless I ring it, even riding fast on the gnar. I no longer terrify hikers, and they are much nicer to you! The clamp can accommodate a wide variety of handle bars if you take the screw out before mounting it, then install it once it is on the handle bar. Get one!

Can't beat it for the price

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got one of these for each of the bikes in our family. They are great for any kind of biking. Simple, small, reliable, and inexpensive. I am thinking about getting another for our stroller to part the sea of slow-walkers when we are visiting big cities.

Good bell for smaller diameter handlebar

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Well built bell for less than $5. Stealthy looking in all black. The clamp diameter is right at 1 inch, so it will not work on larger diameter handlebars.

      Be heard on the trails

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Back in the hey day of MTBing back in Vermont, I never would've thought of putting a bell on my bike. That's something a pansy would do. That's all changed though since I moved out West where the trails are super busy. After one close encounter with a dog walker, I decided to take the plunge and get a bell. You can now hear me coming miles away ("ding! ding! ding! ding!"). It's pretty loud, and will scare away most wildlife, and if you ring it as much as I do, people will be on the side of the trails before you reach them. Score.

      Rotation of the flicker

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Does the thumb flicker rotate around the bezel? In other words, if I want to move it to the eight o'clock position to better flick, can I do that?

      Unanswered Question

I bought these for an upcoming Euro trip. Too small to fit on my bars. Is there any creative way to make it work for thicker bars? I have standard road bars.
