Description

Cold ears suck.

Using an old sweatshirt sleeve as a headband used to cut it … in 6th grade. Grow up, pull on the Castelli Viva Thermo Headband and join the ranks of the properly attired. Castelli’s Thermoflex fabric traps body heat to keep you comfortable when the temperatures start to drop, and the raw cut edge lies flat, even under a helmet.

Finally! THere is a headband that works!.

I have owned probably half a dozen differnet headbands in the past, including Castelli that were the worst.
The fit was loose, the material was wrong and they were too narrow to actually cover ears or remain in place.

This head band solves all of that! It is a wide band with great coverage, nice soft burshed material, stays in place and keeps my head handles warm.

Wear it by itself when it isn't too cold...down to around 50F (thus allowing some heat to escape as you warm up) or a little below or pair it with a cap (I use a craft windstop under 45F) to really keep things nice and toasty.

Every other headband I have ever used has seams at least at top and bottom resulting in severe "dent" marks in my forehead which look mighty dorky for several hours after the ride. This has none. Very thin, stretchy and comfortable. I found quite warm, in part because it is so wide so has significant coverage. Looks really good, too.

You are only paying for the name on this headband, it just barely kept my ears warm on a low 60 degree early morning ride. For the quality of the item I could see paying 10 dollars for it but not 20.

Very thin but warm. Wore it on an ultra marathon in 20 degree weather and it worked great. Be prepared to wring out the sweat after because it is so thin. Fits under my bike helmet and my boarding helmet. Looks great is bonus

Super thin thermal material is brushed on the inside for warmth and comfort. I wear this underneath my roubaix fabric skull cap on cold, windy days. I'm a 7 5/8 hat size and this works for me, but it is quite snug. As with anything Castelli, the colors are well thought out and vivid.

The Thermoflex Viva Skully and Headband are warm, soft and stretchy. They are made with a single layer of fabric to fit comfortably under your helmet.
