Christmas carols can strike fear into the hearts of cyclists everywhere. For us, they act as a melodic reminder of cold, snow, and misery in the saddle. Castelli understands our plight, and made the Velocissimo Equipe Jacket to thwart the buzz-killing efforts of Old Man Winter and his henchmen. The Velocissimo provides total wind and rain-resistance, while giving you breathable warmth in freezing temperatures. With the Velocissimo Equipe Jacket in tow, you'll be waiting at the window for the snow plow to fly by, not Santa.

The Castelli Velocissimo Equipe Jacket is made from the Gore Windstopper X-Fast 2 fabric -- a close relative to the same fabric used for Roger Hammond's favorite jersey, the Gabba WS. Developed in partnership with Castelli, this fabric allows the fit of a jersey with the wind and rain protection of a jacket. The end result is a breathable winter jacket that's effective at temperatures as low as 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and tailored to fit your body positions in the saddle. The Velocissimo Equipe Jacket is fully windproof and water-resistant, and features a high collar for protection from exposure. The side panels are made from Thermoflex for extra warmth and breathing, and the back features three open pockets to stow your portables and hand warmer packets.

The Castelli Men's Velocissimo Equipe Jacket is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Black/dark grey, Green/black, and Red/white.

I love this jacket

This jacket is awesome. It fits great. It's warm down to about 40F and pretty rain-resistant too.

This has become my go-to jacket when the winds here on cape cod whip up and the temps drop below freezing. It keeps me warm but doesn't restrict my movement or cause overheating. The rain/ road muck doesn't stick to it either. And it looks awesome.
