Light weight vest that stores easily in your jersey for a day full of descents in fair weather. It great if your not looking to carry much on you but, want to be ready if the weather takes a change for the worst.

This Castelli vest is good for wind and rain protection. However it does a very poor job of transferring heat/sweat to the outside of vest for evaporation. I went on a ride today in cool 50 degree weather and when I took the vest off the inside was dripping wet while the outside was dry. I don't believe it "breathes" as Castelli claims. I have returned it for refund and continue to look for the perfect lightweight wind vest.

The material and workmanship is good. I'm 6'1", 175pds and usually order Castelli one size up, but in this case the L was actually quite roomy in the torso but a bit short overall and particularly in the back. I'm average to slightly smaller than average in upper body length. The XL would be too big, so overall not for me.

I got this vest as a Christmas gift really like it. I was on a group ride in southern Utah and a storm blew in when we were far from home. We had no choice but to ride back in a down poor. I slipped this baby on and was the only one without a red mud streak up my back. My vest just washed right off. (if only it could have covered my bibs). It is light weight and stows in your jersey pocket without any trouble. I am 6'0" and 175 and my large fits me well. Castelli sizes are a bit weird. I usually wear a medium jersey but got the vest a size larger to fit over a base layer and jersey...glad I did.
