A bra made just for cyclists.

Just as cycling equipment benefits from the feedback of the sponsored male racers, the gear used by the growing number of female cyclists reflects the hard-earned knowledge and feedback that pro women can give. The input of ladies sponsored by Castelli has led to this uniquely cycling-specific sports bra, the Castelli Rosso Corsa Light Bra.

Cycling in particular demands slightly different things from a bra than running does. Chest-crushing compression is less of an issue, so the Rosso Corsa Light Bra focuses more on breathability and ventilation. Sport bras can become quite soggy when you're really exerting yourself, and then you're stuck with what feels like a sweaty straightjacket wrapped around you for the duration of the ride. This is a problem (particularly in winter weather) when you're riding over multiple long climbs where you're sweating on the way up and freezing on the way down. This bra has been designed with an ingenious mix of tech fabrics, which are all intended to provide the optimum amount of wicking to keep you comfortable and dry. The sides and back have maximum ventilation with the Tulle Mesh inserts in place to help ventilate.

That is not to say that Castelli has compromised on fit and support. The Rosso Corsa offers gentle support and a comfortable fit. In particular, the cross straps are Giro 3, the same soft, stretchy material and seamless design used in Castelli's top-of-the-line bibs. As a result, you get less stress and fatigue on your shoulders and trapezius muscles on a long, demanding ride.

The Castelli Rosso Corsa Light Bra is available in either Black or White. The bra works best for A/B cups, and comes in five sizes according to the measurement around the rib cage under the bust: X-Small 26-28in, Small 29-30in, Medium 30-32in, Large 32-34in and X-Large 34-36in.

  • Smooth, seamless Giro2 cross-straps deliver consistent support without digging or binding
  • Side tulle mesh inserts enhance breathability
  • Ideal for A/B cups

Are there any cyclists out there wearing this w/ a C cup? If so, were you adequately supported and covered?

Responded on

I'm a 32D and I bought both a Small and Medium. I ended up returning the M as it felt too loose in the band, and did not offer enough support while riding, especially when going over bumpy road. The Small fits perfect for me.

Seems comfy, but doesn't small A-cup

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I ordered a small. It looks like it would be a really nice product, but I am a smaller A-cup and it is a little loose in the cups area. If you're a larger A-cup or above, you'll be fine.

I wear mine every ride

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm ordering a second one of these. It is so comfy. The flat straps over the shoulders practically disappear, and the chest band is not tight. (I leave that to the heart monitor band!) There is not a lot of support, but enough to keep things in place when going in for that cup of coffee. When riding, how much support do you really need, anyway?
As to size, I'm between a small and a medium, I think. I went with the medium because I wanted to maximize comfort. Maybe if I had gotten a small, it would feel tighter and more supportive. But, I'm sticking with Medium in the order I'm placing now.
Love it!

According to the sizing chart on the site, I should be S or M. I ordered one of each size and both were small.
So I'll ask now an L, because it seems an excellent product and I want to try.
I think the sizing chart needs to be revised.

Responded on

Did the 'L' ever work out?
I wanted to get one of these as well, but according to the chart, I would need a XL, they might not work for me if they're running that small...

Awesome Bra! :)

I put this bra on and felt like I wasn't even wearing a is seriously that comfortable. Riding with this bra on was completely wonderful. I felt no weight in my chest and no tension in my shoulders from the straps. I didn't even really feel the straps at all. We're given so many reasons why we have certain pains but I've never had anyone suggest wearing the wrong bra while cycling was causing me to have some pain around my neck and shoulders. After wearing this just once I can tell that my bra was the reason to the problems and this bra was perfect the solution. I'm a 32 B and the small fits perfectly for me. I just wish I had lots more money so I could buy more.

Very comfortable straps and fabric. I am ordering another one. Seems true to size. I bought the small and it's a little tight getting on but really comfortable once on.
