Description

Classic style, winter performance.

The winter cap is the secret weapon of European-based pros. Also known as the mutt, these caps drop cotton construction in favor of man-made fibers to provide insulation and wick moisture away from your head. They also add a knitted earflap to keep your ears warm in biting wind.

The Castelli Risvolto Winter Cap is one of those hard-to-find Euro-style mutts. Constructed from polyester, the cap uses a polypropylene liner to improve insulation and wick moisture. The earflap folds up and out of the way in case the day warms noticeably. While some mutts are too bulky to wear under a helmet, the Risvolto Winter Cap will fit beneath your helmet with just a slight loosening of your helmet’s chin strap and occipital retention device.

The Castelli Risvolto Winter Cap comes in Black/red, Black/white, and Red/white and one size fits all.

I ride 50+ miles 2x a week in the Pacific Northwest. Have used this cap in 30 deg. up through 60 dg. it works great! My head and ears stay warm. I have worn it the rain without a helmet cover, and my head was still dry. It wicks away sweat very effectively, so my head stays warm, which means my core stays warm. The styling is very stylish!

Nice cap. Good quality. Have used it on days as cold as 30 deg and it's kept my head comfortably warm. Helmet straps need minor adjustment for comfortable fit. The ear flaps are snug and not too tight.

Made in China.

WELL DESIGNED CAP, MATERIAL EXCELLENT TO THE FEEL, JUST A BIT TOO SMALL IF YOUR HEAD IS ON THE LARGE SIDE OR YOU HAVE QUITE A BIT OF HAIR

This is a great accessory to have it you want to do any winter riding. Fleece lined, with ear flaps that fold up, along with a bill, this hat was exactly what I was looking for to get me through those long winter rides. This hat is also thin enough to fit under my helmet perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchase and the only negative was waiting this long!

the seam between the ear flap and the cap isn't the greatest or smoothest transition. not on the level of "look" as rapha or assos, but for the money im more than happy. i've worn this from 20-45 deg and it's done me so well. 45 is about the upper limit (for me) temperature wise with the ear flaps over my ears. i can wear this under my helmet, but it's it's biggest adjustability. if your helmet is already there without a cap under it, the risvolto might not work for you.

These might work, but this is what I suggest:

The wind stopper in the front is ideal!
