To ensure correct time, the PAW1100-1V uses multi-band atomic timekeeping which receives time calibration radio signals to keep the displayed time accurate. A built-in digital compass utilizes sixteen points of measurement with a measuring range of 0 to 359 degrees with a measuring unit of one degree to give accurate direction while you hike or trek. Its altimeter has a measuring range of -700 to 10,000m (-2,300 to 32,800ft) with a measuring unit of 5m (20ft) and an altitude alarm. In addition, the altimeter has a memory capacity of 40 records, which keeps the measurement data of altitude, month, date, and time. It also has high/low altitude memory, cumulative/ascent/descent memory, and an altitude tendency graph and altitude differential graphic. 

The PAW1100-1V features a barometer that has a display range of 260 to 1,100hPa (7,65 to 32.45inHg) with a display unit of 1hPa (0.05inHg), an atmospheric pressure tendency graph, and an atmospheric pressure differential graphic. Its thermometer has a display range of -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) with a display until of 0.1°C (0.2°F). The PAW1100-1V features a low temperature resistance of -10°C/14°F, a full auto EL backlight with afterglow for convenience in low-light or dark situations, a duplex LCD, a world time of 29 times zones with city code display, and a daylights savings on and off mechanism. An hourly time signal, auto calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099), and 12/24 hour formats also come in handy.
