Description

Simple and symmetrical design, sturdy and durable materials.

Take the two pieces of the Carlisle Standard Kayak Paddle out of your trunk, slide them into the hull of your kayak, and carry your craft to the shore. Then connect this two-piece paddle using the stainless button on the shaft. High-impact polypropylene and full-blade reinforcements add durability to the symmetrical blades so you won’t have to worry about rock hits.

I have used these paddles for over15 years with hardley a problem. I have IKed thousands of miles of class 3-4+ whitewater, many of which were multi-day wilderness trips with large loads. While heavier than most, I have never had one break. I have seen dozens of other paddles break during that same time, from cheapos to carbon fiber spendy paddles.
A little extra weight is worth it to me.

I bought this for a spare when doing the river in my duck. It appears to be very tough but it is very basic and heavy. The blades don't have as much power as the curved blades and the handle joint is a little sloppy. It does have two feather postions. The handle diameter is comfy. I would get it again as a spare but it would not be my first line paddle. Good value as a rental also.

Write your question here...Waht would be the best length paddle for me. I'm buying the Dagger Apoproach Kayak. I'm 5'10" tall.

Thanks, Billy

I used NRS's Paddle Fit Guide [http://www.nrsweb.com/inflatables/paddle_sizing_guide.asp?deptid=1116&tn=76] and came up with a recommended size of 90in for this paddle. I hope this helps!
