Support for the long haul.
Capo's new Fondo Shorts were designed to provide you with the ultimate combination of support and all-day riding comfort. The smooth paneling construction and advanced chamois move with you in the saddle, ensuring that your body remains protected and comfortable while logging in those all-important training miles this season.
Starting with the basic construction, Capo made the Fondo shorts from the proven Power Lycra material. For compressive support, Power Lycra has been placed at various points on the legs of the shorts. Basically, this fabric features more Lycra fibers per ounce/square yard than typical Lycra compositions. So, the material experiences an elastic hold on your muscle groups, supporting and shielding them from the bulk of oscillation and road vibration. This results in a decrease in overall muscle fatigue while pedaling away for hours on end. This material also incorporates what's known as Coldblack technology, which is a finishing treatment that reduces the absorption of heat rays in darker fabrics, resulting in protection from the sun and improved heat management. Finishing off the shorts' leg panels, Capo applied its signature silicone-backed grippers to provide a smooth and secure hold at the cuffs.
The chamois incorporated into the Fondo shorts is Capo's Endurance 3D Insert. This uses high-density open-cell foam bonded to an antimicrobial microfiber layer that has antimicrobial threads woven through it to aid in moisture evaporation. In addition to the slim, movement-freeing shape, there are 6mm and 8mm-thick pads built into the pre-curved profile in order to optimize support on longer rides.
The Capo Fondo Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

I was hoping that the Fondo shorts would do the trick for comfort in the saddle on long rides. While the padding in chamois is very nice, the shorts/chamois and paneling around butt and waist seem to loosen up about 20 miles into rides...I followed sizing chart which put me in an XL, (5'9
