Description

Cut the air.

We wear shoe covers for various reasons. Sometimes, it's because it's a little chilly out, and other times, we're simply trying to eke out every aerodynamic advantage that we can muster. But, we have to admit that it's increasingly rare to find shoe covers that fulfill both roles. Fortunately, we discovered the Capo Crono Lycra Shoe Covers.

Capo's Crono Lycra shoe covers are constructed from the Power Lycra material. More than just an authoritative name, it's also an authoritative fabric. Like its brother, Power Lycra is extremely breathable and aerodynamic. However, the advantages of Power encompass the worlds of support, precise fit, and movement. Basically, this fabric conforms to the shape of your foot to provide the ultimate in aerodynamic advantage. All the while, the material is supporting a light insulation layer that warms on cool days, yet cools on warm days. It's not sorcery, it's just good design.

For fit, Capo relied on its tried-and-true Block System for the entry/exit point. This system reinforces the rear zipper and heel cup by strengthening the seams that its connected to. On top of that, the Crono follows a minimally seamed design that flows with the natural contours of your foot.

The Capo Lycra Shoe Covers are available in the color Black and White and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. Given the breathability of the fabric, Capo suggests that these covers are appropriate for use in all weather conditions.

Here's what others have to say...

are these shoe covers good for as low as 41F degree?

Responded on

Hi, these are lycra shoe covers. They will be good for making your feet a little more aerodynamic, and will provide some extra warmth on cool days. They don't offer much protection against wind and water, though. Fro the temperatures you're considering, look at the Capo Lombardia Wind Booties instead.

looking cool!

  • Fit: Runs small

Made well, good looking shoe cover. The size run small. I have three road cycling shoes two different manufacturing companies all 11 US and no fit with the large covers. I will reorder XL and really hope that I have a good fit because, I really like this product and I ordered two pairs black and the white. I would order a third if red was available.

Good Cover!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my first set of shoe covers so I don't have anything to compare them to but I do have some insight after using them for several months.

They really look fantastic! I bought the white ones and they really give you a streamlined look, cut down any drag created by your shoe straps, and increase visibility.

There are only 2 negative things that I have noticed: they are VERY thin and the zip has failed me. The thin part is only negative because they wear quickly but it's good because of the fact that you're feet won't overheat in warm weather. Also, I've had the right zipper ride down a few times but that's only happened a few times.

I will definitely buy these again because I like the look and feel. I think it would be impossible to find covers that are as thin as they are and durable at the same time. Don't be afraid to try these out folks!

Good Cover!
