Description

A simple solution to the cold foot problem.

Wearing socks over cycling shoes is PRO, particularly when the weather is not quite bootie-ready. Not all of us keep enough spare socks on hand to customize a pair for this purpose, hence the birth of the Cordura Shoe Cover. This stretchy Cordura oversock is warmer, fits tighter, and is more durable than the standard sock. It also washes better. When they're new, pull them on, cut the marked area at the bottom so the cleat pokes through. Go. Not only do these add a little warmth, they also hold older shoes with tired Velcro straps tight when rain stretches shoes and loosens straps. The material is 55% Cordura, 15% Polyamide, 25% Lycra, and 5% Elastic. Colors are Black and White.

Simple.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I sort of wished I'd kept them as a pair of socks. They are great for cool/cold days as my road shoes are made for hot summer days.

It keeps shoes clean and feet warmer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Not ultra warm; I'm not taking these for 30-50 deg temps; 60's yes but my toes get cold easy. You have to cut out the cleat area. I used for 2 seasons and they are starting to wear out in the back. But got them on sale and well worth it. Plus, you look pro!

Does its job

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's just like a second sock that goes over your shoes and thats all its supposed to be. Up your Euro swag and use them to cover your ugly winter shoes or keep your new ones clean. Will keep the chill off of your feet in mild weather but still breathable for warmer weather. If you want something warm or waterproof get neo booties.

alright

These shoe covers are like giant socks for your shoes. You have to cut a hole in the bottom (there is a guide line). They wont work well in rain but worked fine for cool weather. My feet managed to stay comfortable in about 50 degrees. I wouldn't buy them again but they get the job done.

Not all I wished for.

First of all, these aren't really shoe covers, at least not until you cut a big hole in the bottom for your cleats. I my feet still got really cold on the first ride and it didn't feel like they stopped the wind at all. As a second sock layer (which Capo says they also are) they weren't much better. I'd spend the extra dollars to get the PI Cyclones if you plan to ride in cold weather.
