C'mon, party boy, it's time to get weird.
Get ready to surf the slopes with the Capita Spring Break Slush Slasher Snowboard. Whether you're getting pitted in powder or spraying slush on unsuspecting tourists, this insanely fun board is a blast to rally all over the mountain. Don't let the short lengths fool you, because the Slush Slasher's unique shape, wide waist, and huge kinked nose make it ride like a bigger board. These characteristics also help the board stay afloat in powder should Ullr bestow the resort with some white fluffy stuff, and the stubby semi-swallowtail lets you make tight turns in the trees.
The profile is flat underfoot for stability and edge control, with surfboard-inspired continuous rocker at the tips for effortless float and control. Lightweight, sustainably-harvested poplar keeps the RFC Sustainable Select core light and snappy, and Form 6 biax glass offers a smooth, predictable flex. Exclusive to the Slush Slasher, the inlaid alloy Skid Plate lets you tail drag exposed rocks without destroying your base. Speaking of the base, it consists of a highly absorbent extruded construction that's easy to repair if you do manage to ding it up.

Slush Slasher does it all
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This board is one of the most fun boards I've ever ridden. I took it to Loveland Ski Area on a snowy day and rode it through powder, on groomers, through trees, and over wind-blown icy spots. The board cruised through it all and handled well the whole time.
I tried to sink the nose in powder but just couldn't do it, no matter how hard I leaned forward. Also, the width allowed me to grab the front rail on carves and the short length was agile through the trees. I even rode it switch for a few runs to see if it was possible; it's definitely possible but it felt weird to see that shorty tail going down the mountain.
This may be the only board I ride the rest of the 2017 season. Thanks to Spring Break and Capita for making such a fun ride and thanks to Gabe at Backcountry.com for helping me with the purchase!

Spring Slush? Beer Me.
Your dad that started snowboarding on a Lamar may take a look at the Slush Slasher and say... "What the hell is going on here?" A major trend right now in snowboarding is interesting shapes, and every board in CAPiTA's Spring Break line lives up to that. This is the exact opposite of a serious snowboarder's choice, but a rad choice nonetheless. This is for the rider that wants something he or she can have a great time with friends, drink beers in between runs on the lifts, ignore the calls from mom and have a great day whether it be a groomer day, powder day, or spring slush day. The Slush Slasher has a medium-soft flex and has the "Party" profile, Flat camber from insert to insert for stability, Rocker/Reverse Camber at the tail for steezy presses on the alloy skid plate, and a kinked "Flat Kick" nose to stay afloat on the deep days. It's also made at The Mothership, CAPiTA's Zero-Emissions facility in Austria that runs on 100% hydro-power.
Who needs a conventional board anyway?
