Built to handle the deepest days imaginable, the Capita Charlie Slasher Snowboard is a legendary pow-stick capable of planing over bottomless snow with minimal effort. Just like earlier versions of the Charlie, it's designed with a tapered directional shape to keep the nose afloat when you're headed to the white room. The one-inch setback and nose that's 20mm wider than the tail maintains a buoyant feel that's almost impossible to sink, no matter how deep it gets.

Further contributing to Charlie Slasher's highly capable pow skills, its Pow FK profile places substantial rocker just after the front binding, continuing to the board's Flat Kick nose. This massively rockered nose works with its tapered directional shape, making every pow turn a blissful experience that's noticeably free of back foot burn. You'll find flat camber from the front binding continuing back to the tail of the board. Flat camber provides stability for turning, especially when you're lapping chopped-up snow and groomers once the pow's all tracked up. Flat camber in the tail also helps you stomp huge landings off cliffs and natural features without going over the bars or washing out.

Want to turn your Slasher into a splitboard? No problem. The split-ready core features a strip of ABS running directly down the center so you have built-in sidewalls when you split it. Dual carbon beams increase pop and response while also reducing chatter so you have more control when you're straight-lining chutes and popping pillows at high speeds. Furthermore, the board's Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed base absorbs a ton of wax, allowing you to haul across flats and bomb steeps without bogging down on deep days.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Charlie was designed to be a pow board with the early rise nose, zero camber and tapered tail but because of that you don't have to ride this deck in the back seat. And because of that, this powder board rides all over pretty incredible. The early rise nose not only floats on the pow, but chops thru the crud. Zero camber allows there to be plenty of pop on hard pack but forgiving enough that you can ride this deck hung over. And the taper is so the tail end sinks in the pow but also releases easily out of carves. That being said, its my go to, do all, ride everywhere snowboard.

    Everyday Powder board

I've been lucky enough to ride this Charlie Slasher since it's first season. What was my first "powder board" in my quiver shortly became on of my all time favorite boards. Even on days that were questionable to ride a powder shape, the versatility of Charlie Slasher is surprising. Every day I ride my Charlie, I have my best day of the year, sure it may have something to do with the powder, however, I've been riding this board about half the season no matter what the conditions. Last season Capita upgrade Charlie with a touring core. This P-tex stringer down the center of the core will allow you to split your favorite powder board into a split board you've never felt more comfortable on. If you like a directional ride with a slight taper in it's shape (riding trees) take a charlie along as your co-pilot.
