Canada Goose isn't making these anymore! They're not part of their new collection and these are the last few on the market. I got mine in early spring (on sale at Backcountry!) and have yet to test it out. I can tell it's a great coat. Very well made, very warm. It's much tougher than anything you can get from Backcountry's competition in Maine! I got the 2XL and they do run a little big. Great coat, great manufacturer. Backcountry's wonderful too!

What's with the hood?

Alright, I've been looking for a good and VERY WARM jacket since Christmas. Our Chicago winter has been tough and I was tired of being cold. I tried a Rab, then a Marmot, and finally this awesome Canada Goose. Besides the price, my only complaint (other than the zipper being on the wrong side for us Americans :-)) was the hood--it virtually swallowed my head it was SO BIG and deep. When I put it on it was just too big to really be practical. Other than that I thought it was great--great style, great fit, and very warm. But being as costly as it is, I just couldn't justify the price unless I was TOTALLY in love with it. As for sizing, I'm 5'10" and 200 lbs-- and the large fit great.

The best coat ever! A MUST BUY

This coat is amazing! It is well constructed, and very very warm and light. Yes I thought about getting a northface or a marmot but spending months and days on end wondering if I should get the CG or something cheaper that I can afford. I Said you know what we only live once I bit the bullet and bought the coat. I said to myself, if I can buy 800 dollar tablets and phones why not get something that i could wear that would last me a lifetime. People you complain about the price lol please I'm a security guard and went out and purchased this beautiful CG coat and it makes me look like I'm worth money lol. The inside is very well constructed, the pockets would definitely keep your hands warm in the brutal cold weather and you really don't need to layer up underneath and it is 40% lighter then the big northface coats that would run you about 350 and better, and the CG is much slimmer depending on which CG coat you get. I got the ontario because I can zipper the zipper all the way up and really don't need a scarf. I can also go outside in the single digits with just a t shirt on! And I'm perfectly fine as long as I got on a hat I'm fine. ALSO THIS COAT RUN VERY LARGE IM 240, 6 FOOT tall AND THE XL was perfet FOR ME! PEOPLE DON'T THINK JUST BUY this coat is so awesome. I love MY CG ontario. Think about it. Why get something that may last u 6 to 7 years and give out on you instead of going all the way out your way and spend a good amount of money on a product you know that's going to last you a lifetime +. A MUST BUY 5 STARS IF NOT MORE!

My Bear

I stand out side on the streets of NYC for 8 hours. This coat has allowed me to do my job and deal with the cold spell we have gone through and are waiting to come down on us. I like the coat and like being warm without having 3 layers under the outter garment. when the sun move behind the building the temp drops fast and I just zip her up and keep it moving. Thanks..

hi my name is Pierre from north western Quebec I would like to no whats the difference between the expedition and Ontario coats

So these two jackets are fairly similar in terms of performance and material. Both utilize duck down, the Ontario 650 while the Expedition uses 625.

The face fabric is the same on both: Arctic-Tech

Overall I'd say they're very similar with subtle differences but the main one being the look of the garment.

I've heard some styles are "bigger" fitting than others. What size Langford would you suggest for someone 6'4" tall, 40" chest and 34" waist with long arms (36") ?
Or, is there a particular style that is better for someone tall and slim?
