Here's what others have to say...

Hi, Does this jacket have a fur lining around the hood?

Amazingly warm and nice, but allergic?

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a super-warm jacket for tough conditions. It may be the warmest jacket my wife has ever tried. However, we were unable to keep it.

In exchange for the warmth, it is super-heavy. It's odd to notice how heavy a jacket is, but this one is HEAVY. Get ready for that.

More importantly, my wife started breaking out in hives after wearing this jacket for more than 5 minutes at a time. She does have sensitive skin, but has worn many other down jackets (including North Face, Arcteryx, and even other CG jackets) without issues. It would bother her anywhere it touched exposed skin--arms, neck, etc. CG is great gear, and I don't know if it was the down, the DWR coating, or something else, but this one didn't work for us.

My wife is 5'6" and a size 12-14 in most clothes; the XL fit her very well--although it is a bulky jacket. I have to give this an NR based on the allergic reaction, although that might be person-specific.

Gonna go naked this winter

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Let me explain a couple of things. 1- I have a thing for jackets. 2 closet full of jackets. 2- just moved to Buffalo, NY. So- now I know cold and jackets. I decided to buy this jacket because the website rated it a 4 out of 5 on the warm scale and no fur hood. I used it during the current snowstorm. 1st day: tshirt, north face sweater and jacket. I had sweat rolling down my back! 2nd day: long sleeve T, down vest, and jacket. Had to unzip. Honestly, I walked around in a long sleeve T and the jacket. Plenty warm. Seriously considering just undergarments and the coat.

I did size up. I got a large but I really wear a medium. I could have stuck with the medium. I'm 5ft3 and 147lb. Plenty of room in the large but it doesn't look huge. I love the backpack straps so when I take the jacket off, I can wear it. If you can afford it, buy it! You'll be extremely warm in this coat.

The Warmest Jacket Ever!!!!!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

I absolutely love this jacket. It is very well made and very durable. I've had many down coats, but this is the warmest one by far. I purchased the XL, but I really could have used a size smaller. I pulled the waist string a little tighter to give me a more fitted look. The hood fits nicely and it's perfect on a cold day. The pockets have a fleece lining that keeps your hands nice and toasty. Overall, I would say that this jacket is well worth the price!!!

If you could tell your height and would help me ascertain if I should go for the L or not. I am 5.4 and 160.

Canada Goose Cambrose Jacket - Women's

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:Runs large

I love the look of this jacket and think it would be very warm for our Michigan winters, but the XL was just too big. If they had the graphite in the Large I would order it!! I really think you could wear this out in the cold with just a light layer underneath and be toasty. I'm 5"9 (160 #)and the sleeve length was actually long enough.

I am looking at this jacket and notice the...

I am looking at this jacket and notice the red looks like a different jacket than the black?

I've researched both of those colorways and I don't show any differences in them.
