A warm shout-out to Amelia Earhart.

Shield your face from snow and wind with the Canada Goose Aviator Hat when your prop plane crash lands somewhere between Juneau and Anchorage. It could be worse, because the coyote fur surrounding your face catches snow and wind, while the water-resistant shell fabric easily sheds light precipitation and the build up of snow. Additionally, the 675-fill down insulation provides furnace-like fervor in the face of bitter cold conditions. And, the chin buckle secures the ear flaps over your ears or folded on your head when you need to listen closer for a rescue helicopter.

    • A retro-inspired winter hat for bitterly cold weather
    • Water-resistant exterior protects against moisture
    • 675-fill down insulation provides warmth
    • Coyote fur adds a hint of dapper style
    • Chin buckle keeps hat secure

    True too Size

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

    - When hat ears are down, your nape is shielded from the wind, your ears and cheeks kept warm. This is important to not feel the cold.
    - The hat is made of material that keeps your head dry under rain or sleet.
    - Tested in the real cold. Like -10F. It kept me warm. And at the same time you don't sweet in 32F too.
    - It is well made. Fur is great and pretty.
    - IMO it is stylish.

    - Haven't found any.

I Seriously Question the Other Reviewer

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: L

First off I want to start by saying I don't consider this in any measurement a finished product. The interior of the hat as one person already mentioned is unlined. Very cheap. Although I think its important to go further, not only is the hat unlined it's practically uninsulated. It's very clear that Canada Goose believes their name and some real fur is worth over 200$. I bought this same hat about 3 years ago and returned it for the same reason. I only decided to purchase it again because I read on some online reviews that they had made some upgrades and well lets be honest, this is a really attractive hat. Which is all it ends up being worth. A bragging/photo-shoot piece. The hat needs to be insulted and CG needs to make sure that the consumer doesn't have to feel the gap between fur and its rough interior. I have zero confidence that anyone else who commented on this item has worn it( by "it" I mean this hat and only this hat) in the conditions they described. I'm sorry -40 "LOL" not a chance. I have a 30$ NewEra Columbia University winter hat that is not only of a better quality but I'd actually put my life on it. We used to say that in Marine Corps Mountain Warfare when we felt that a piece of gear was critical to our lives and mission. If you buy this hat planning to go on a cold weather camping trip, ect be advised you are potentially putting your life in danger.Based on my mountaneering experience I am going to call BS on the guy who had this at Everest BC. This is only something a really rich tourist climber would bring. Sorry no serious climber would waste the luggage space. Also even if this hat was lined and insulated it would be super bulky to sleep in. CG makes a great overpriced product. This hat doesn't make the cut. It's also worth adding that the back of the hat should be cut higher and not have the CG patch sewn in. CG cares more about their cheap advertising than they do your comfort. That patch is so annoying and the low cut makes it difficult to look up. Do not buy!!!!!! I really hope CG makes this item worth the money because it really does look great. It's such a shame that CG came so close to making a great product the market needed only to get lazy in the home stretch.

    Tips for CG

1)Stop being cheap and line the F******* hat
    2)Insulate the hat
    3)Don't become a designer brand
4)Bring back the Calgary jacket. It was the best one you guys had
5)The buckle on this hat is really cheap!!!!
6)Remove the patch from inside the hat. It's constantly rubbing I just felt like ripping my eyes out.

    I want my money back

READY TO ROCK N ROLL with Winter Storms

I Love this Hat. Used it for the past 3 weeks to deal effectively with the blizzards we've experienced. It kept the blowing snow off my head & really felt warm the whole time was shoveling snow. Worth every penny. For kept my face from getting pelted by sleet/snow combo during this last NorEaster. Have the matching Aviator Jacket too.

The only hat for extreme cold

I got this hat for my trip to the Arctic in February. Yes, it looked silly, yes it was entirely too warm to wear around Connecticut this winter. But once we reached Dawson City, I broke this baby out and was so glad I had it with me. As a rule, I'm not a fan of fur. After doing some reading, I decided that it was the best option for the conditions I would be in. There's a reason the native population use fur - it serves a real function. At -40 (which is the same in C and F) with a wind, I was completely comfortable. The down lining kept my head warm, the flaps covered my ears, the back of the hat completely covered the back of my head, and the fur kept the wind out of my face, adding extra insulation. If you're not dealing with extreme cold, this hat might be overkill. But if you are, it's the only way to go!

        Frickin' Stylish Warm Hat

I love this hat! It's got two modes, which I call "Russian" and "Canadian".

In Russian mode the ear flaps are clipped up to the top and it looks like someone frisbee'd a road kill onto your head... In a good way though!

In Canadian mode the flaps are down (and can be secured by the strap if it's cold and windy) and it looks like someone frisbee'd and then glued a slightly larger road kill onto your head!

Of course it's mega-warm.I was walking around one windy night at -25C with a buddy and he had a beanie on and was rather chilly, whilst I was quite toasty thank you. The coyote fur is soft and wind/snow proof. The hat is also down lined. I think it looks awesome (some of my friends disagree!) and I've had randoms come up and take photos of it.

          Frickin' Stylish Warm Hat

          Absolutely love it!!!

I love this hat! It is extremely warm, very comfortable and feels very stable on your head. I have problems occasionally with hats sliding around on my head. This one doesn't at all but also doesn't feel tight! Kind of the best of both worlds. Canada Goose definitely gave this hat a great twist on an old school style and I think it's great! It's got a hefty price tag but in my opinion it's well worth it!

Do you deliver this hat to France ?

            Hello Sebastien,

I am very sorry but at this time we do not ship to France. We also are not permitted to ship the Canada Goose brand outside of the USA due to vendor trade restrictions. If you have a friend or family member living in the USA, we could send this product to you there.

What's the difference between this hat and the Canada Goose PBI hat?

            Best Answer

They are the same hat. The PBI donates $5 to the Polar Bear International fund which supports scientific research into protecting polar bears and their environment, as well as research into global warming.
