With each new season comes a fresh case of the grabbies. Satisfy your urge for gear and grab a CAMP USA Photon Carabiner or three. Heck, they only weigh 36 grams, so you may not even realize you have multiples until you take them out and count them at the crag. With a generous gate opening and burly strength ratings, the Photon comes in handy for setting anchors or just racking your other gear.

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

My favorite carabiner! Runs with the big dogs for sure ( Petzl Spirit) I have racked all my cams with them

Gate Beginning to Stick

I have had a set of these biners for about 9 months now. I am careful with my gear. I keep my draws away from the dirty ground whenever possible and even so, a couple of the gates on the biners aren't quite sticking yet but are on the verge. They are beautiful and lite weight but I don't know if I'd buy them again for this reason.

Good for racking. Able to hold lead fall

I use straight gate Photons for gear racking. It's light and big enough to rack a full set of nuts.

Also I temporary replace bolt side binners of Black Diamond Oz QD with them for easy cleaning on sport routes (and return back BD Oz for trad). The last weekend I slipped off a face and took a pretty deep (about 10 feet) lead fall. An improvised hand made draw held it without any visible damage (anyway I retired the binner to be for-nuts-racking-only). Thus despite a "fragile" look and feel CAMP Photon is strong enough to hold lead fall.
