The fit and comfort of the Camp Jade Women's Climbing Harness are the most important features when you spend all day battling long pitches and hanging belays. The Jade Harness has a long torso length and Auto Fit leg loops to ensure that you get evenly distributed support from the 3-D mesh padding. A No-Twist belay loop eliminates cross loading, ensuring that your carabiner is in its strongest orientation while belay. This Camp climbing harness also has four gear loops to hold a big trad rack and a full-strength haul loop to drag a tag line when rappels are needed to get off your multi-pitch line.

CAMP makes some of the best light weight gear in the business. The Jade Harness is no exception and though it is light, it is very comfortable and easy to slide on/off. The padding hits all the right spots, and makes it very comfortable to sit in those unfortunate circumstances when you have to take. I have used the harness for long days in the desert, black canyon, and elsewhere and it takes the wear and tear of crack climbing extremely well. Comfortable in the heat and in the cold, this is a well thought out design with plenty of gear loops and strength to take whatever you have to give it.

Just ordered this harness in a medium and tried it on. The leg straps are not made for an athletic build, and the waist has this velcro strap to help keep the padded waist in place. Which is fine unless you need to adjust the waist to be larger, then it doesn't reach and the padded waist doesn't stay in the right place. Also, I don't have that long of a torso, but I felt that this harness was meant for a person smaller than even my height of 5'3''. Very disappointed and returning it.

I also just started climbing and this is the harness I ultimately ended up buying. Love that it has the locking buckles like those on the petzl harnesses eliminating the need to double back. I am also a bit on the chubby side, so getting a harness that was going to be comfy on my generous thighs was a must as was a long enough padded area on the waist belt- this fit the bill in all of those areas. Proportions were just right for the way I am built and think other women who are curvy will find the same to be true for them as well. Been very pleased with this so far.

For the price you probably can't beat it! You will like the comfort it gives and when you start climbing outside it has enough gear loops to accommodate. Only drawback/decision is whether or not you want adjustable leg loops.

I was so psyched to find a harness for a small framed person like myself that actually has decent gear loops for trad climbing. Usually, by the time I get a harness to fit me, they've eliminated a gear loop or they are so small as to be of limited use. Camp got it right with Jade. And it is comfortable too.

This hardness not not designed for comfort. I got two huge bruises on the side of my body from using it. It's nice if you don't fall, but if you have to hang in it for a while, not a great idea.
