The Camp Comfort Belay Glove's name says it all. Camp gave it an ultra-flexible fit for grabbing rungs on the via ferrata or clipping 'biners while on belay, plus a half-finger design for maximum dexterity. The synthetic construction means the gloves remain breathable and dry quickly after a soaking. Camp reinforced the wear points to enhance durability and added a soft wipe on the thumb so you have a way to wipe away the sweat on a hot, sunny day.

Good, well priced, comfortable glove.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These gloves are comfortable and adequate belay/rappel gloves. I'm sure they'll last a long time but they're not nearly as tough as full leather gloves. They are however well thought out and very comfortable.

Additionally, there's a great feature that I haven't seen on any other belay gloves(but have seen on snow board gloves). There is a small fuzzy patch on the glove at the meaty part of the palm between the thumb and pointer finger. It's perfect for when you need to wipe something like your nose when it's cold out. it's a small thing, but I appreciated it.

Basic belay gloves

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was sick of getting my hands covered in metal shavings from handling my rope.

These belay gloves are a great, in expensive solution.

The let the rope slide right through the palms of your hands without your hands ever needing to get dirty.

Sizing chart suggests I'm a medium, although typically I wear a small. Stick with your normal size as the mediums were a bit too long for my fingers.

The palms on these have a hard, synthetic fabric instead leather, which makes them a little stiffer than I like, but the job gets done regardless and I feel like they'll be super durable.

Easy to put on and take off

Great gloves from the Goat!!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I really like these. The assist loops for removing them are well thought out and the price was right. Very sturdy and tough. I am a high steel rigger and wear these everyday for work. Thanks
