Here's some extra pans wedged into the sherpa table. Ones where the handle won't fit into the compartment but can still be wedged in there anyway.

Great Camping Food Organizer/Table

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Sherpa table is a great camping investment especially if you have a nice crew or a family. Used this for a camping weekend and was able to store food for 10 people throughout a car camping weekend. The table part on top breaks down and folds into the zipper along with the legs that snap out from the telescoping insert.

Would recommend this for anyone who is car camping or wants to use it for any kid of outside event. The 4 compartments are lightweight and insulated so they can be used to store cold food for sure or drinks. The entire table is lightweight has handles on either side so it's easy to carry. The inside zippers that separate the compartments zip away so you can wedge a few other items like frying pans or pots in there. Well worth the cost.

You need this table

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This table is pretty great. I have this package so I am ready to go camping at a moment notice. I am able to hold my stove and all 4 bags at once so it is pretty convenient. When the table is lowered it is perfect height for cooking while sitting is a camping chair, once it is lifted up it is alright for standing while cooking. The legs on this table are kind of a pain to get out, once a little dirt gets into the poles it is impossible to remove you hand so keep some pliers with you . I also had an issue with the polyester material I have a small rip in the material after it sliding it into my trunk, so you have to be a little careful with that. Altogether im pretty happy with the table and would buy it again.

Definitely recommended

The Camp Chef Sherpa Mountain Series Table is a product that has the potential to become a crucial cornerstone to any camp kitchen. Its size dictates that it will likely only be utilized for car camping or river running (or very short distance backpacking), but this is by no means a bad thing. The storage compartments (and accompanying cargo bags) provide ample storage space, and personally I love all of my miscellaneous camp kitchen essentials stored in one handy place (instead of scattered amongst who-knows-how-many bags!). Furthermore, the Camp Chef hardtop attachment makes for a perfect, portable table space. On my last trip into the desert, friends and I used the table to cut up fresh vegetables before adding them to a pasta dish (cooked on a Primus portable burner that also happens to fit perfectly on top of the Camp Chef table).

My only complaint so far has to do with the leg design. It is a push button lock design, which theoretically allows for the legs to be quickly pushed in (or removed). However, the "simple" design proved more difficult than expected once dirt and camp dust was introduced to the mechanism. Eventually I was able to get the legs to release, but with more pulling and tugging than I liked. I would also caution against making the "rookie" mistake I did, and using the Camp Chef as the dish washing area. Things were going along fine, until I popped off the grated hardtop attachment and realized that I had managed to get the entire cloth top of the table soaking wet. Luckily it has dried out, and there seems to be no lasting damage.

Based on its usability, functionality, and convenience I strongly recommend the Camp Chef Sherpa Mountain Series Table for anyone looking to beef up their camp kitchen setup. The design is simple and the components seem to be reasonably durable. It definitely opens up opportunities for camp cooking that I haven't previously considered!
