Poor quality

I was very exited for this knife set, but was extremely disappointed when they arrived. They don’t seem to be quality knives. Flimsy and cheap. I also would have liked to see a sheath for each knife.

Excellent for the price

Bought these for travel as we typically stay in AirBnB or VRBO cabins several times a year. My kids said I should buy a set of travel knives because I always complain about the knives where we stay. The next day the CampChef ad appeared on my web browser for these knives.....hmmmm..... but to the point, great knives, very sturdy, very sharp and a well thought out selection.

Great set of knives for new RV

Loved the knife set! Loved it enough to buy a set for each of my brothers. Great set, convenient, plus a caring case.

Awesome knife set

Awesome knife set. They are perfect for camping and take a good beating. Plus, they get a lot of use at the house as well.

Sharpness

So far these knives are sharp! Very happy with the first initial edge on them but will be able to tell more once they have been used. But for the price they’re great.

Knife Set

Great assortment of cutlery. Perfect for every foreseeable task when out on a camping boondoggle. Although the knife carrying case is made of decent material, I had to give four stars because the carrying case Velcro wraps for securing the knife tips were not all correctly placed or large enough to secure the tips of some of the knives (even when using the online CampChef photos which show which knives go where within the carrier). Also, the provided nets on the carrier (which are supposed to hold the knife handles) are very snug and the netting catches on the rubber grips on the knives so that they do not slide in smoothly without a lot of jimmying and finger plucking of the netting until they are finally in place. Once they are in place, they are secure -- but as stated before, some of the knife tips will not be fully secure. However, once the carrier is folded over and secured (with the sewn in clips), everything is safely out of site and contained within the carrier--so there is no danger of being cut once the carrier is closed up; just be careful when opening the carrier. [Note: It is best to lay the knife carrier on a flat surface when opening it. This should be done in order to reduce the risk of any knives falling out and cutting you. By laying the carrier on a flat surface and opening it, you will be more than safe.). To fix the problem with the insertion of the rubber handles into the netting compartments, I used scissors to cut out little plastic rectangles from the plastic packaging that the knives came in. I inserted those rectangles into the netting pockets and trimmed them to ensure they were long enough to extend from the top to the bottom of the pockets without sticking out of the net pockets. This little trick allowed the knives to slide smoothing into the pockets without getting hung up in the netting. Once in place, the knives were able to be set deep within the pockets so that they were securely stowed away.

Amazing!

These knives are definitely worth the purchase! They cut though meat like butter and have made prep work a breeze.
