Developed through CamelBak's U.S. and European road racing initiative, the Tube Director lets you position the tube like you want it. You can maintain an aerodynamic position while drinking freely and more often. A semi-rigid design adapts to any CamelBak hydration system to make it totally hands-free.

I have a camelbak but I need an insulator for my tube so the water doesnt freeze when I'm on the slopes. Will this work?

I wrapped my neoprene-covered camelbak hose with two layers of foam insulated plumbing wrap and still have problems with water freezing. I highly doubt this will work. I even doubt the thermal control kit would work. Maybe it does, but my setup sounds even more insulated.

No you'll want something like this:
http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/CamelBak-Thermal-Control-Kit/CAM0016M.html

Its out of stock here but available elsewhere on the net.
But read the reviews of this thing to understand the pros and cons and techniques for making it work.

The idea that this alone can keep the tube in place is a little ridiculous, you will still need some sort of clip. However, it does a fantastic job insulating the tube to keep it from freezing in the winter. As long as you blow back into the tube to keep water out of the bite valve, this tube insulator will keep water from freezing even when the temperatures drop into the 20s!

CamelBak Tube Director

Works like a charm, quick to set up (just plugged the hose end into the end of the hose hooked up to the bladder & wrapped a little duct tape around the link for good measure). Perfect for outrigger racing - it's flexible enough to allow for adjustments on the start line yet stays put where you want it. Definitely worth the modest cost!

Or the cleaning brush, it's about the same price. Besides, this is only the director, not an actual tube.

It should work, but I find it very unnecessary if you aren't biking. Just grab a normal replacement tube.

in my case i think i have to mention i have the filter adapter and a whole lot of tubing, works not bad for long bike rides, great for downhilling nailing the hydraulic brakes and saying to your self "hmmm i think i can drink whilst skidding down this and not take my hands off, thanks tube director!, OH CRAP..." :D

Is there such a tube splitter valve? I plan to use 1 hose siphoning from two bladders at the same time. Its a complicated set-up on my aero drink bottle on the bike but would really need of such a "y" adaptor. Thanks.

I've never heard of one. You might be able to get one that fits from a hardwear store, but not from Camelbak.

I love these things, I wouldn't ride my bike without it. I get dehydrated quickly at times, especially on the climbs. I hate fumbling for a water bottle, or trying to pick-up a dangling tube. The director puts the mouthpiece right where I need it.
