Description

Now they can be just like Mom and Dad.

If getting your youngsters ready for a hike or bike always turns into a battle royale, outfit them with the CamelBak Kids' Skeeter Hydration Pack. They'll be psyched to carry this brightly colored, lightweight (less than four ounces) pack that dispenses water (or, better yet, a fruity-flavored drink) with a suck on the valve. You don't need to worry about them getting enough fluids, and they get to feel all grown up with their own hydration packs.
  • Diamond mesh back panel and lightweight mesh harness allow air to circulate so they stay cooler
  • HydroGuard anti-microbial technology inhibits bacterial growth on reservoir and tube surfaces
  • Ergo Hydrolock shut-off valve allows them to control water flow and prevents leaks
  • Distance from shoulder to hip belt: 11in (28cm)
  • Reflective hits on back and front improve visibility in low light

Great option to prevent their slobber from getting over your mouthpiece - get their own. Our kids are proud to carry their own stuff. The fit was good even for my 3 year old (cinched down to the smallest fit).

The only drawback I see in the Skeeter is the mouthpiece. Soft rubber is very enticing for the orally fixated child to chew. After a few good chomps, the rubber wont retain the water so well. Since it is the same mouthpiece that other Camelbaks have, it is easy to replace - just wish I didnt have to...

For our kids, the idea of wearing a Skeeter is so exciting that they can't wait to go hiking. The Skeeter is small, lightweight and gives them some control over how much they can drink (or squirt on ants), which is important. I only see one color available at BC.com, but we have different colors for the kids and they like the idea of having their own design.

The Skeeter is very basic and affordable. I ended up adding on a sternum strap as it kept falling off of our kids shoulders.
