With 1495cu in of pack space and a 100oz reservoir, the CamelBak Rim Runner Hydration Pack is an excellent choice for extended day trips in the backcountry. There's plenty of room for some extra layers, lunch, camera, and other goodies in the Rim Runner's main compartment. If you need to carry more gear, two side pockets and shock cords take the rest. The CamelBak Rim Runner uses a Dynamic Suspension Harness to help you carry your gear comfortably and assure that you enjoy your time on the trail instead of complaining of a sore back.

This is the first hydration system I have owned. I can't say enough about how much better you feel on a hike if you can continuously hydrate yourself. The Rim Runner looks fantastic and is very functional with straps that can be tied down or removed. The storage area of the bag is smaller than I expected when the hydration bladder is full, but it comfortably held my camera, a rain shell and an extra layer.

I use this pack for basically anything. Without the bladder it serves as a great day pack with plenty of room for essentials. With the bladder, it serves as a great pack for skiing, staying nice and tight to the body. Three liters of liquid can really make a difference. Internal dividers in front pocket makes it good for separating small objects.
