does the meter reset when filling via a filter pump through the hose?

What I'd hoped for was that when pumping via a filter through the hose that the counter would count "backwards" so when the original amount was shown, you would know that the bladder was full again. It doesn't appear that this will work as there is a one way check valve in the counter.
