The CamelBak MULE has become one of the most popular hydration packs out there thanks to its excellent features and 100oz OMEGA HydroTanium reservoir. Specifically designed for mountain biking, the MULE is an excellent choice for hiking and extended trail runs as well. Its Dynamic Suspension harness system assures that your time on the trail will be comfortable, and the waist-belt is removable for times when you don't want it. Pack some snacks in the front zipper pocket, stash a shell in the compression panel, and hit the trails with the MULE.
The Mule is an awesome pack for all lengths of ride. It's big enough for the epic rides and light enough for small excursions on the local trail. Got Great back ventilation and lots of room for rain gear and spare parts. The Mule Is Amazing!
Used this pack on a hike to Delicate Arch in Moab, Utah. Pack holds 2 liters of water and we were able to put a bottle of suntan lotion, sandwich, chips, granola bar and orange in the two pockets. Straps are comfortable, easy to adjust and get centered on your body. Great pack for a hike like the one we did.
Awesome. Couldn't be any better. Carries a nice lunch, school supplies, and 2 liters of water to last the whole day at college. (Couldn't fit it all in there with three liters) Extremely durable, nice cushion for when you land on your back. Taken many falls with it, and not a single tear or break in the bag. A+++ product!

I ride about 10hr a week all off road. Park Services only supplies water on our trail at one place which is only cause it meets up with a paved trail. So hydration is key. I normally need more water than I can carry but the M.U.L.E. lets me go non-stop. Plus I can carry my chain lube, Multi-Tool, air pump and patch kit, and food. even has a place to attach my keys so that I don't lose them. The mp3 holder has enough room for an iPod and a cell phone (don't want your cell to get wet when you fall into a creek or get caught in a downpour.) Can't say enough about it. Just get one and find out yourself.
this pack is great. for it's size, there are a ton of pockets and more than enough room for needed gear. perfect for day trips or the light overnighter...
just took the "mule" on a trip to shining rock NC. for a ten mile trek. having 3 liters to pull from was great. i used about 2 1/2 liters on the entire trip. the pack was lightweight and comfortable even when full. my back never hurt and i was plenty hydrated. great gear!
Great pack. Just the right amount of storage for my needs. I even use it for short trips with my kids to theater practice, sports, etc. Room for a book, some snacks, and I'm reminded to keep drinking water in the summer heat. Kids think it's the bomb, too.
Love at first sight was my reaction to this pack. But yesterday I really put the adventurist/pack relationship to the test. Beginning at 4am, my buddy and I traversed over 40 miles across the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in under 15 hours. With some careful packing, the Mule fit my food, OR Ion Pullover windshirt, and extra t-shirt, as well as camera etc without stressing the zipper seams, and I filled and drank the 100 oz hydration reservoir 3 times. For over 30 miles I hiked w/o a shirt, and the straps still felt good. I appreciate a pack that doesnt rub your shoulders raw from friction. I ran some of the long downhills and by cinching the Mule's straps down, it didnt bob or swing an inch. Didn't even cause any noticeable sweating against my back. It's easy to swing around to your front so as to riffle through the pockets without slowing down or stopping. Now I just gotta find a way to shrink all my college textbooks and laptop so I can use it for class!
This is a great product. I had one of these in the military and it was a necessity to have on long field ops and training. The MULE is the best product especially for attacking those long trails.
Awesome. I am an enviromental canvasser, meaning that I walk for five hours a day in all kinds of heat and humidity. This hydration pack has completely changed my day. One word of caution: three liters of water is Heavy! Of course you can always fill with less, but you won't want to because water rocks:) The pack is several months deep into constant abuse, and aside from dirty straps not showing a day.
When I got this pack I thought I made a mistake, but when I used it for the first time I was wrong. If you are a dirtbike/atv rider this is the pack for you. Fits tons of stuff in it. It went with me on a 105 mi. journey though mud, rain, up hills, down hills, across a river, over jumps, and down the freeway. Almost forgot it was there, never moved around once. If you want a nice pack that is not too bulky, this is the one. If you want something to haul a lot of gear I suggest going bigger. Definitely a suggest buy.
I have been useing this pack for mountain biking for around 2 years and love it. It has enough room to hold my arm warmers and a jacket as well as some food, tools and a spare.
If you get thirsty on your mountain bike rides, especially in the summer, this is the best pack to have. Enough water for a Moab ride in June. A bit strappy for me, but it holds everything you need for your ride.
I don't know how I lived for so long without this one- its truly the perfect size. After using it for two seasons, I can say that it's truly one of the most versatile and recommended pieces of gear I own. Love the size, the locking bite valve. Big enough to stuff a light jacket, all my bike tools, a few tubes, protein bars. Awesome to have the larger bladder too- I use it when backpacking, hiking, biking (filling up as much water as I'm going to need). Love it love it love it. You can't go wrong with this one.
This is the pack for mountian biking. I have used it for years and just got a new one and love it more. It has a large bladder, and enough room for what you need. And if you need more, there is places to sqeeze in more or bungee it on.
While not huge, this pack holds everything I need for a good sized ride including lightweight raingear. Nice pocket layout and overall pack design, easy to keep organized.
