With a two-liter reservoir and a women's-specific harness, the CamelBak Magic Hydration Pack keeps all you cycling gals hydrated and comfortable on your ruthless trail rides. CamelBak's curved suspension harness contours to a women's body, and the sternum strap rests higher up than those on most packs so you don't feel like you're wearing a straightjacket across your chest. When you begin to bonk, reach into the quick-access gel pocket on the harness and fuel up. Bite down on CamelBak's Big Bite Valve and turn the leak-proof lock on the tube once you're hydrated. Store keys and other snacks in the cargo pocket, keep an extra jacket in the main compartment and hit the trail.

A good pack for a half-day hike

I bought this pack for my wife to use on short hikes. She says it's very comfortable and holds just enough water for a half-day of walking in warmer weather. So far it's been a big hit.

I have the 2006 model of the Magic. It holds a surprising amount of stuff, in addition to plenty of water for a 3-5 hour ride. The big bite valve is the best thing to happen to mountain biking since the wheel. No dirt or other nasty stuff gets into your water supply. The pack is extremely comfortable and light. The various straps are all adjustable and it's easy to cinch it up so it doesn't budge even on really bumpy terrain. You can almost forget you're wearing it. The curved straps and shorter profile fit a woman's shape perfectly without binding, squishing tender parts, or creeping up your back to push into your helmet. This is one of the best pieces of equipment I've ever bought.
