Carrying enough water for a full day on the trail is a challenge, unless you’re packing it in the Camelbak Women’s Helena Hydration Pack. The Helena features an extra-large, 100-ounce reservoir that ensures you won’t be returning to the trailhead parched, and its women’s-specific design and suspension enables you to carry your hydration in comfort.

  • Rear Air Director panels on the back let to circulate around your back to keep you cooler
  • Dedicated loop holds your trekking poles when not in use
  • HydroGuard anti-microbial technology inhibits bacterial growth on reservoir and tube surfaces
  • PureFlow tube delivers fresh-tasting water with no plastic flavor
  • Ergo Hydrolock shut-off valve allows you to control water flow and prevents leaks

Bottom Line: A hydrated hiker is a happy hiker.

Can you put ice in the hydration pack and if so does the pack

Can you put ice in the hydration pack and if so does the pack get cold enough so that the coldness can be felt against my back and does anybody know if this might be comfortable to use while working at the airport on the ramp or is it too big?

You can put ice in the reservoir and you can feel the slightly cooler temp on your back but it is not overwhelming. It is comfortable to wear but it is a 23L pack and if you fill the bladder you will notice the weight.

i have a slightly older version of this backpack, & it has worked well! it's great for a day hike... i only wish it was a little bigger so i could use it for longer hikes/camping. i've had mine for almost 2yrs now and it's held up well thru wear & tear.

What is the difference between a hydration backpack (this bag)

What is the difference between a hydration backpack (this bag) and a regular day pack with a sleeve for a hydration pack? Do I not need my own reservoir with this backpack? Will my own reservoir fit if I want to use it?

This one has a 100oz (3L) reservoir included with it, whereas just the sleeve means it's compatible, but you provide your own. Your own reservoir fitting depends on what size you have, but the included Omega hydrotanium bladders are pretty nice, and 3 liters is a decent amount of water for most day hikes.
