CamelBak’s new Antidote reservoir, which offers a host of new cutting-edge features, slides into a reservoir compartment that’s been redesigned for better comfort and stability. The new NVIS back panel allows your back to breathe on sweaty climbs, and an integrated rain cover lets you ride out the storm.
  • New Antidote reservoir includes a lightweight, quick-seal cap, folding arms on the port to speed drying, and baffles in the body that allow the reservoir to maintain a lower profile when full
  • New Quick Link system in reservoir allows you to quickly snap off the tube for cleaning and easily attach accessories like filters, flow meters, and insulated tubes
  • Ample main compartment and multiple exterior pockets hold your rain gear, multi-tool, pump, spare tube, lunch, MP3, phone, wallet, and keys, while XC helmet carry stows your dome protector
  • NVIS back panel features six EVA foam pods covered in breathable mesh to balance support, flexibility, and ventilation
  • Fixed 1.5-inch belt with cargo pockets keeps the pack from bouncing around as you bomb downhill
  • HydroGuard anti-microbial technology inhibits bacterial growth on reservoir and tube surfaces
  • Ergo Hydrolock shut-off valve allows you to control water flow and prevents leaks
  • XC helmet carry stows your dome protector
  • Distance from shoulder to hip belt: 17.5in (44cm)

Spacious. Great ventilation. Excellent looks. I also use this for day hikes.

Perfect for day trips

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This backpack has been the best mountain biking backpack I have owned. My back never gets too sweaty and it has enough storage for a long day trip on the mountain.

Could I possibly use this for school?

Depending on how much you bring. There is room for some notebooks and maybe a text book, but you would be pushing it. I'd just get a day-pack-like backpack.

I use mine for school. I'm able to fit my 15" mac book pro, an 1 1/2" binder and a regular upper division textbook. It can get a little tight, so I try to lean more towards e-books on my ipad. Which fits great in the front pocket.

A great summer pack!

This pack is great for anything in summer, except for overnight, unless you are a minimalist. This pack comes with the 100 oz. antidote reservoir, which keeps you hydrated for a good 3 or 4 hours depending on your fitness level. It has a front pocket that expands, when your biking you can put an xc helmet in it, or hiking, you could stuff an extra layer or something. It's a decent size, not big enough for winter though. Great pack all around. If you want a great summer pack get it. Its definitely worth the money.

So you dont think this would be a good pack to use for winter too? Not an all around pack?

Responded on

It wouldn't be a bad winter pack depending on what your using it for?

Not bad at all.

Great pack for 12 mile summertime hikes. Kept me hydrated and was able to store all my gear, snacks, etc. Was even able to shoehorn a camera and a change of clothing. For fall and winter, you'd most likely be better off with a slightly larger pack.
