The Classic just got even better.

CamelBak updated its tried-and-true Classic Hydration Pack with a host of new features to ensure that you get the hydration you need when you hit the road or the trail. The minimalist design still leaves some room at the front pocket for one or two trail essentials, e.g. your phone, granola, or a wallet. At 6.7 ounces, the Classic truly suits the minimalist biker or hiker who is attempting to cut any unnecessary weight during intense activity. An Air Mesh back panel and lightweight mesh harness allow your torso to breathe under strenuous exercise, reducing the accumulation of sweat. The pack's body features a nylon and diamond Clarus construction treated with DWR and PU for a sleek, water-resistant finish. Because of its reflectivity, you can safety take the Classic out with you for a ride after dark.

Season after season, CamelBak's super scientists have been hard at work refining and perfecting the Antidote reservoir, the industry's most popular solution to hydration. At the turn of a cap (a quarter turn to be exact), you can open or close the reservoir, refilling and securing it again in seconds. Center baffling and a sleek design prevent your water from jostling about inside your pack while running, hiking, or hitting the park.

    BEST CAMEL PACK EVER!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My wife bought me this Camel pack in black for my birthday and WOW I LOVE IT! She loves it just as much as I do, maybe even more because I always catch her taking it with her everywhere (sometimes she just lays in bed with it and drinks out of it haha). We go hiking with it and put ice and water in it. It is a very high quality Camel Pack. I would recommend it to everyone.

    Water and pockets

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this for my brother who uses it for his mountain biking races. He really enjoys all of the pockets with easy access. As well as the slim profile along your back. This replaced his bigger bulkier one, he swears this makes him faster, I guess only time will tell.

    The best!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Seriously, this camelbak is perfect for those who wants a no frills water carrier. The pocket will barely hold a phone and small wallet. It hold enough water to keep you hydrated for the day, depending on the activity. It sits on the back nicely and doesn't slosh around too much.

For bikes/hikes/music festivals, it does just the trick.

    Hiking Oasis

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This baby didn't let me down on a 7 mile hike in 95+degree summer weather. It wasn't heavy and the water stayed cool (except what was left in the tube from the last time I took a drink - but that's expected). Looking forward to using this on all my hikes!

    Great for my kids

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got one of these for each of my children. I have always been a pretty strong believer in the Camelbak name and brand and I think their products last. Their bladders could use a bit of taste reduction in my opinion (I haven't had a new bladder in years so maybe it is better now - but that also speaks to how well they hold up). They are always a good product, don't leak much if ever, and just last. My kids will love them as they fit them really well and give them plenty of water for extended family hikes.

    Good MInimalist Pack

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a good pack if you want to bring a little water and not much else with you. There is only one zipper pocket, which is just big enough to cram a bike tube into, and then a little bit of room in the resorvoir-pocket for another small item. If you want something that can hold snacks, a phone, bike tool etc... i would go a size up. That being said, the entire pack is quality, would recommend.

    nice hydration pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got this to use for biking and shorter runs. It's light and fits well without sliding around. If you put some ice in it your back stays nice and cool. My one small complaint is that they never seem to hold quite as much liquid as it states that they do. There is a small pocket for keys or ? . I got this size for a specific reason and it's just right... not too big and not too small.

    Great hydration pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got this for my wife as her first personal camelbak. She loves the bright, attractive color, the size of the reservoir and its functionality for hiking. Her only request would be a slightly larger zippered pocket on the back. She is a big fan. Kids have used it several times, too.

    Great CamelBak

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This CamelBak is nifty! First time i ever used an actual backpack-style water system...always used a water bottle. I got this in the lemon green color-which I love how bright and reflective it is. Comfortable to carry, not heavy, and worked great on my hike. Can't wait to use this more this summer! Next stop: Zion Nat'l Park :)

Is the bladder removable? I would like to use it in my larger Osprey packs as well.
