for mountain biking and love it. I considered the octane xct, but that had much less caring capacity for essentials.

I've got two tubes, pump, multitool, first aid kit, chain links, zip ties, light, and gels, and still have room for more. all of this is in the main compartment using the organizers. the accessible side pockets are unused but can carry my phone, keys, and more food bars easily.
the pack is super comfortable,I didn't even think about it or feel it on my 1.5 hour maiden voyage today. sits on my hips well, the shoulder pads just hold it up.
if you're thinking about this pack for trail and mountain riding, buy it!

The bladder being low on the lumbar is key for mountain biking. There is little bounce and it keeps the weight evenly distributed. Great pack!

I was shown the CamelBak Charge LR Hydration Pack - 427cu in earlier in the year and marveled at the waist belt hydration bladder (which works really well). So, I decided to try one for myself and found it to quite possibly be the best half-full day bike pack out there.

The new bladder takes pressure off of the back and makes MTB riding a whole lot more comfortable. The just above 400 cu in storage is great for the on trail maintenance necessities, food and a few other things.

It is not more than a daypack in the minimalist sense though. Trying to use this for a weekend pack will leave you very short on room. Overall, a good everyday choice for those looking for the next level in pack comfort with hydration.
