C4 Waterman designed the Pohaku Carbon Paddle specifically for stand-up paddling with a keel-shaped blade neck. Just as a keel helps a sailboat track through the water, the shape of the blade helps you to carve a straight line on your strokes.
- Curved face on the front of nine-inch-wide blade allows you to easily skim the blade across the water without catching it.
- 100% carbon fabrication makes this paddle stiff but lightweight
- Comes uncut so that you may trim it to size (ideal size is seven inches taller than your height)
- Ergonomically-shaped hand grip glues onto shaft after trimming

This paddle is a standard paddle for SUP'n around lakes, streams, rivers, ocean. But, it was quite a bit heavier than the Werner Spanker carbon fiber paddle I've been using for about a year. This heavier weight means one thing: tired arms. The blade is precise, making it a paddle easier used by expert SUP'ers. Not my first pick for a paddle on this site...
