Take the Byer of Maine Traveller Hammock with you on road trips, beach-house vacations, or just to the park. This hammock is almost as long and wide as a queen-size bed, but it fits into a bread-bag-sized stuff sack. Byer of Maine made the Traveller Hammock from extremely durable parachute silk nylon and 70D polyester, so it's fine in a rain shower and great for hiking and camping. This large single-person hammock can hold up to 250 pounds. Lie on it diagonally—the Brazilian way—for optimal support and stability.

Bottom Line: Prefer to sleep off the ground? Throw the Byer of Maine Traveller Hammock in your backpack or backseat.

A must for any backpacker

These things are amazingly comfortable after a long day hiking... Nothing like a backcountry nap high in the mountains in one of these hammocks. Packs down to nothing and disappears into your pack. Makes for a good nights sleep on a warm summer nights. Save the tree's and hang it with some climbing slings and biners.

This hammock has been amazing to have around. I don't always find a place to hang it, but I always have it with me and whenever it's possible, I take advantage. Love sleeping in this on warm summer nights.

Awesome travel hammock!

By:

This travel hammock is awesome! It packs ultra small yet unfolds to a nylon oasis. I just used it daily for naps while camping for 5 days and just put it on my front porch when I came home. Used with the Byer of Maine MicroRope, you can string it up almost anywhere there's 2 solid points. The first 1-star review this recieved is WAY OFF!...It almost deterred me from buying it...but Stinky Dave says BUY IT!

Love it, but....

I got this hammock about three years ago and used it all the time. I slept in in even when there was a tent with an air mattress because it was so comfortable! Unfortunately, the parachute cord snapped after a couple of months, and once one string breaks, they all go. So, I bought some 3mm cord and re-strung the entire hammock and now the thing is bomb proof.
Overall, the hammock is worth what you pay for it. It is not too expensive, and it does the trick. However, it will not last as long as some other makes. But if you are willing to spend the time re-stringing it with some stronger cord, this thing will be your best friend during those warms summer nights.

Comfortable!

Works really well. The fabric is a bit thin, but no problems here. Lightweight and easy to pack away. Microropes work really well with it.

This is a great lightweight hammock! I've had one for over two years now and use it everytime we camp. Has held up very well, My husband weighs right at the limit for this hammock and has used it many times. This is strong material and well made.I highly recommend this hammock.

Lightweight Comfort

I enjoy camping, although i dont have the time to take off and camp right now I purchased the hammock to have to lounge around on my front porch. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to use and move, because it is so lightweight. I highly recommend one and I am looking forward to getting some use out of it myself.

adaptive re-use

material is no better or worse than Ikea nylon, definitely not a soft product. Good enough for the purpose - I bought this to hold my exercise ball as a sling pocket hanging from a ceiling hook.
