Need Clearer Product and Sizing Info!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I bought these for Chrsitmas for my 12 yr old (just turned 12 in Oct) and bought an XL. I thought that would totally fit - says 12/13 in size description ... but no measurements to make sure they fit before buying, should have known not to buy, but took the chance. They seem warm, no handwarmer pockets like others had said. Gave them to him for Christmas and they are too tight! specifically across the palm. Fingers also had very little room at tips. they seem to run narrow....(They fit my 9 yr old daughter!) Totally bummed since we were going skiing for Christmas break! Had to buy new ones on mountain. Unfortunately, we have to return these! They look nice & seem warm - giving them only 3 stars bcse product description and sizing are way off..... But in fairness not the product the sites issue.

Warm and (evidently) also COOL

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I ordered these mittens for my 11 year old son and they arrived the very next day. When he tried them on he exclaimed, "Cool!" He is a budding snowboarder and needs warmer gloves for the new season. He is average size and height but I wanted him to have room to grow so I ordered the XL (size 13). There is a little room in the fingers but otherwise fit fine. And you can tighten the wrist band to fit any size. So I would say order a size larger for your child.

The inner lining is soft and warm. The outside is Gortex and the tag says they are meant for ice cold conditions. Can't wait to try them out. Will update after we use them. But so far so good.

what size for a 5 year old girl?

what size for a 5 year old girl?

Responded on

If she is a relatively small 5 year old I would suggest the XS. If she is moderate sized for her age and you would like them to fit a couple seasons then I would order the S.

No handwarmer pocket

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

These mittens are handsome and look well made but the description is incorrect because they do not have handwarmer pocket. I returned because kids cannot ski in our area in early season without handwarmers so they won't work for us. If you just need waterproof mittens for moderately cold weather these might work well.

No Complaints

My son would always end his day riding with a pair of soaked gloves/mittens. I bought him these Gore-Tex mittens with the hopes that his little hands would be warm and dry at the end of the day. So far, I have had zero complaints and the mittens have been dry by the days end.
